Chapter 42 - Chapter 41 - Light 2

Rhys looked at the small balls of light that were dancing around Maeisha. If what his uncle was saying was true then by the time this wing awakens they will all be a level or two levels higher than before.

He wondered if this ball of light had any relation with the surge of power that he had within him a few weeks before. They both had a lot of similarities as even he had two levels of breakthroughs. If it was it made sense and it also meant that his uncle was definitely hiding something from them.

"Can the balls of light be harvested?" Rhys inquired as if they could then The Empire would have more capable warriors to fight against the Purists.

"No. We don't have any container that could contain these lights not to mention if we could even catch them. If you look closely you will notice that these lights are almost sentient. Mona enlarge the light of balls that are dancing on Maei."

Arve ordered and Mona quickly maximised on Maei before enhancing it on the monitor so they could clearly see them. Soon they could see the enhanced and enlarged video of Maei.

She was meditating serenely while the lights were dancing around her and would occasionally touch her as if they were lovingly caressing her. But they noticed that the lights left a glowing mark on her when they would touch her skin. The mark was glowing with a blue light and would remain on her skin for a while before being absorbed by her.

"Did you notice it Cristyn?"

Arve asked her quietly as she was looking a little awestruck. Mona and Chloe looked at their teacher before closely studying Maei. They couldn't see whatever their teacher and Head had noticed and were getting anxious to know as well so they asked her.

"What teacher?"

"Look closely at the marks the lights are leaving on Maei. Do you notice anything peculiar about the location." Cristyn tought her students.

Mona, Chloe as well as everyone else in the room also looked closely at the marks.

"Aren't these the points that we press for stimulating Spirit in the Kids when they are of five years age!"

Nessa exclaimed as she noticed it since her niece had recently gone through the stimulation.

"Thats right."

"But why are the lights doing it since it is useless to stimulate them after the age of five?" Cristyn yelled out the question in her mind. "We had tested the kids when they are stimulated by the points for Spirit but when we tried to test it again when they done again at the age of ten it showed no results!"

"When we stimulate the points for kids we use a silver needle to do it right. The lights are essentially pure energy so what if we used energy needles and tried to trigger them again?" Lorcan suddenly interrupted them with his question.

"Energy needles, there is no such thing." Mona said as she started thinking about the feasibility of the idea and if she could whip something similar to it.

"The BioBed!" Arve exclaimed. Cristyn and the rest of the people from the base thought about their newest form of medical artefact they had invented.

"That's right the BioBed works on energy stones and uses the characteristics of a healer to heal a person. If we could program it to stimulate the points simultaneously or separately like the lights we might have some insights. If what we thinking are true then maybe we could even stimulate the kids who didn't show any talent in the first stages and see if we have any results." Cristyn reported eagerly to Arve.

Arve nodded excitedly.

"Till now we only know that if a child doesn't awaken their spirit at the age of five it means their chances of having Martial spirit after the age of ten reduces significantly. The sooner the child has Martial Spirit the better his talent. What if could stimulate the child more than once and they could then awaken their Martial spirit. Even if the child has low talent they will still be better than normal people and will have the strength to protect themself from beasts as well as be impervious from common diseases. They will also have better life expectancy. The strength of our Empire will only grow!"

Arve could only imagine if all children in The Empire could awaken their Martial Spirit!!

'No they had to test this immediately. If what they think is true then the plan of first minister could be acted out even earlier!'

"Cristyn,..." Arve started to order was interrupted by an even more excited Cristyn.

"I know Sir. I will go immediately and test our hypothesis. Mona and Chloe you will remain here with the rest of the interns and document everything, and when I mean everything I do mean every single move and action that is going on inside. I want the full report every night on my desk." Cristyn ordered as she also realised the impact it could have on them.

"Yes sir!" Mona and Chloe understood their job. If just the spot the lights were marking gave them such a huge insight then what about the rest of the actions.

Cristyn saluted and ran away! RAN away! One could see how important this matter was!

"Nessa and Rhys you both are in charge. See that the people from the Base report to you and don't disturb them inside. If there are any changes let me know, I will be in Sol's cabin. I need to contact all the ministers."

Arve needed to leave and call all the ministers for a council meeting but the insights they were gaining was huge. So he couldn't leave and only temporarily stay in the school for the time being and call the ministers over here instead.

This was a huge matter....
