While Bobo was looking after the changes in the space, outside the people from the Research Base were still noting down all the changes and actions that were happening in the training room, so that they could give a full report to their seniors.
Currently they were all sitting around and having their dinner while the students of Alpha wing set up simple bedding for them to take turns to rest. After all they didn't know how long the bonding process is going to be and there had to be a person recording everything.
Rhys and Nessa were making sure that while the people from the Research base were working they didn't interrupt the bonding.
Lorcan had tried connecting with his grandfather but before he could do so, he was already informed by the Head about the situation in the school. The head had also personally called all the parents to inform them about what was going on with their child.
He soon got a comm. from his grandfather and heard him roar at him about how could he have not informed him that his darling was in danger as soon as it happened. Before he could explain he was told that grandfather was already on his way over with his parents. He shook his head in exasperation. After their baby sister came into their lives, the brother's worth in the family has taken a nosedive.
Rhys was keeping an eye on the monitor while the others were having their dinner. As he was scrutanizing the situation inside he soon noticed that the balls of light had stopped dancing and were congregating towards the hands of all the members in the group.
"Miss Mona and Chloe there are changes in the movement of the light."
Mona and Chloe ran over as soon as they heard him and gazed at the monitor. They enlarged the image on the monitor so they could see what the balls of light were actually doing.
After seeing the situation and knowing that it was different from norm, Nessa contacted Sol and Head to come and observe.
"Sir the balls of light have changed their movement. If you and the Head could come over and observe it would be better."
The balls of light by now had completely covered the right hands of all the members in the group. They couldn't see if they were making a new mark or were sending energy from the hands to the kids.
"What is the situation?" Sol and Arve asked as soon as they reached them and saw them looking at the monitor.
"We don't know. Its been a few minutes since the balls of light stopped dancing around them and suddenly congregated towards their right hands. We can't see what they are doing." Mona reported.
Arve looked at the sprites inside. He was surprised since She was bothering with the whole group and not just Maei. He wondered if She was going to be using Maei's complete wing for her plans or just Maei.
'He really needed to inform the rest of them, but he was only able to connect with two of them.'
"We think that the lights are either marking them like before or injecting them with energy through their right hand. We noticed that they were congregated around the Manibandha Point and have already noted it down."
Chloe reported as she started to search about the significance about that point. The point was in the middle of the wrist and was second most important point after the Tala-hridaya point in the middle of the palm. This point is one of the most delicate and vital point in one's body as it helps regulate the energy from the palms to the rest of the body. If the point is harmed not only would the person have trouble to make a cycle of circulation of energy in his meridians he will also not be able to use his elemental energy easily.
"Manibandha point...." Arve mumbled as he tried to remember if there was any mention of it in the records of the First Kingdom.
"Ahh...right! The mark!" Arve suddenly exclaimed as he got it.
"Mark?!"
They wished the Head would stop being dramatic and tell them what they wanted to know.
"The mark happens in the middle of the bond process and is the symbol of their wing. The mark could be anything and binds the wing as one. The people of the first kingdom thought that it was this mark that enabled them to communicate and work together better."
Mona and Chloe recorded the information given by the head. As for the others they were relieved as the marking meant that they were at the middle of the process. It took them a day to reach here and maybe one more day they would wake up.
"Sir what is the longest bonding process recorded?" Lorcan questioned the Head so they could have an estimation.
Arve smiled "A day and a half."
"Its already been a day and we are still in the middle...."
"Uncle was the strength of the team recorded?" Rhys asked suddenly.
Arve knew his nephew would catch the significance of this. Everyone turned as one to look at him at Rhy's question.
"They were recorded as the brightest light of the kingdom and went on to become Sentinels."
Everyone present took in a sharp breath of air.
"What happened to them in the end?" Rhys went on.
Arve stopped smiling as he remembered what he read.
"We all know that we had never found the reason the first kingdom ended. It was as if they were there one day and the next they disappeared. We have a theory that maybe there was an extreme danger to the people and to protect the people of the kingdom, the sentinels sacrificed themselves for them to escape."
'That was what he thought. The heavens wouldn't have given them such power if there wasn't a need for it.' Rhys mused and knew that they had to get stronger if history was going to repeat itself. He didn't want to see the girl inside sacrificing herself for the people of The Empire.
"But the last record from the first kingdom says something else. It says that the sentinels found a way to protect all of them and took them somewhere far away." Arve said as he saw the sad faces of the people in the room. After hearing the Head say that they calmed down but also knew they had to start preparing.
Sol and Arve just had a council meeting with rest of the ministers to make a plan so that history doesn't repeat itself.
"What do you think the extreme danger was that they had to evacuate as soon as possible." Lorcan thought.
"We don't know. It wasn't recorded."
Rhys looked at his uncle and knew that he was hiding something again. It seemed that he had to have a proper conversation with him soon....
