Frederick could not control his emotions any longer. Seeing her behaving rather collected was eating him alive. Sure, she had scribblings and doodlings as a medium to vent but inevitably, it would not be sufficient. After all, how could someone who had gone through the nastiest of things be able to bottle everything inside and not explode?
It was certainly a one-way hellish ticket to allow herself to rot inside out and THAT, was one of the products of being constantly abused.
Knowing words could not convey his true feelings, he threw himself on her and hugged her tight. All of it, is an attempt to sponge off - not everything- but solely the unpleasant memories that had occurred in that short span of time during his absence. At the same time, he hoped his sincere affection would seep out and plaster her already shattered heart.
