An uncomfortable strain filled the air that engulfed her chamber. Nevuda still refused to talk to her and kept averting her gaze away from her.
Their hands were tied with chains, facing each other across the room. Her chamber smelled of spoilt food that they didn't touch.
"There's no use sulking, Nevuda. We must work together to escape." She told the scowling dwarf across from her, breaking the silence that enveloped them both.
The dward didn't even spare her a glance. She wasn't sure if Nevuda was angry with her or with the queen that betrayed her.
Fate has an edifying way of making someone realize the gravity of their actions. Nevuda betrayed her, only for her to end up with the same fate as she had. What comes around, goes around.
