"Psstt... the prince is out today. Can you stay a little longer? I have to talk to you," Gala said quietly to Nevuda's ears as she arranged her food on her table.
She tried to be discreet because there were other officers and maidens inside her chamber, and she didn't know if everyone inside had been recruited as their allies or if others were spying for the royal family. They must be cautious because they have no idea who among these faces is a friend or foe.
Nevuda secretly sent her a wink before she walked towards the other maidens with the tray hanging from her hand. They were all standing in the corners of her room, watching her eat her breakfast. The more the prince has been out of the kingdom in recent days, the tighter her security has become.
"I want you all to exit my chamber, except for Nevuda." She announced it right after she finished her breakfast.
