To say that she was flabbergasted by Alvaro's remarks was an understatement. Wings growing out of her? Pfft...what a lame joke! She ended up laughing at his words.
"What are you blabbering about, Alvaro? Why would wings grow out of me? What nonsense is that?" She said, while trying to stifle another fit of laughter coming out of her.
Alvaro only deadpanned at her, his dull eyes darting from her face to her back as if 'something' was really in there.
The smirk that was planted at the corner of her lips gradually vanished when she finally realized that he was being serious about laughing it.
She immediately tried to regain her composure when she saw his stern expression. Right away, she felt something heavy on her back and slowly turned her head backwards and let out a high, shrill scream from her throat when she saw the massive wings on her back.
