Chereads / Mated to Gods / Chapter 19 - Beckett

Chapter 19 - Beckett

Last night was torturous. I was ready to tear into Luka for even insinuating that I had a problem with my mate having demon blood. Miles and Samael were barely holding us back from attacking each other, and then we heard the sweet sounds of Katrina in the throes of passion. We all froze when we listened to the noises coming from her room. While Luka and I were having a pissing contest, Aphelion had snuck off to comfort Katrina, and comfort her he did. All night long. That lucky fucking bastard. Once the moans started, it didn't take long for us to go our separate ways. Samael, Miles, and I ran to our rooms, and Luka ran out of our quarters like the floor was on fire.

I wonder if Miles and Samael's cocks were as sore as mine this morning. Every time Katrina and Aphelion started up again, I ended up with a painful erection, my cock already oozing with precum before taking it in my hands. Just thinking of her sweet moans has me hardening again. I switch the hot water off in the shower, causing ice-cold water to plummet down on my body. I'm too sore to try to rub one out right now. I hurry up in the shower, quickly washing myself down before jumping out and throwing my uniform on, leaving the top buttons of my shirt unbuttoned and tossing the tie aside. Most students would get in trouble for not following the dress code, but my cousins and I aren't known as the heirs for no reason; we are above everyone in this school. As we should be, we're the future rulers of the four kingdoms.

As I leave my room, I catch Aphelion sneaking out of Katrina's room. He has a stupid smirk as he softly shuts his door behind him.

"No need to be quiet. We all know what you two were up to last night." I say, startling him.

"Jesus Effing Christ Beck! What the hell are you doing up so early?" Aphelions asks, his hand over his racing heart.

"Some of us have an early morning training class we have to lead," I reply, trying not to let my jealousy show.

"Ah, that's right, you're helping some of the upper-class hone in on their water magic." Aphelion replied, "you should ask Katrina if she wants to tag along." He states as he wanders off into his room.

I want to smack myself; why hadn't I thought of that? Instead of wallowing in self-pity, I should have been finding ways to get some alone time with my mate. I take a deep breath as I knock on Katrina's door and wait for her to answer it.

"Back so soon, Sparky?" She asks as she opens the door, her voice full of flirtation and happiness.

"Uh, nope, it's just me," I respond.

"Oh." Katrina replies, "Beckett, it's you."

"No need to sound disappointed," I joke, laughing nervously.

"I'm not; I just wasn't expecting to see you this early; what's up?" She asks as she fiddles with the hem of a long T-shirt she's decided to sleep in. One look at the shirt, and I can tell it's Aphelions. He's a damned child and so full of himself. He's the only grown man I know who'd wear a Lightning McQueen T-shirt.

"I wondered if you'd like to go with me to my training this morning?" I reply, staring down at my feet; what was it about this woman that made me so damn nervous.

"Oh, training, that sounds like it could be fun. Is it like combat training?" She asks, her head cocked to the side.

"Uh.. no, that's all, Miles. I help the other students hone their water abilities. The sea kingdom wants strong warriors, and the best way to find the strongest is by observing them at school." I reply, finally raising my gaze to look into her eyes.

"I guess I could use the extra training; I'm sure I'm behind in all my classes." Katrina stated, "Just give me ten minutes, and I'll be right out." She says, turning back into the room and shutting the door behind her.

I am too excited for a simple training session, but this will be the first time I get my mate to myself. There are no cousins to compete with, no stupid professor to worry about mating her: just my mate, my trainees, and the open seawater. The only way my morning could have started better was if I was the one who'd awoken with Katrina in my arms.

As I wander into the kitchen to grab two to-go cups filled with hazelnut coffee and a splash of cream, I notice Miles glowering down at his pre-workout powder.

"What's up, bro?" I ask; Miles and I are closer than our other two cousins. Being from the land and the sea, we often saw each other.

"Nothing." He grumbles before chugging down the shake.

I don't know how he can drink that shit. It's disgusting, and the texture when going down makes me want to barf.

"Oh, hey, Miles." Katrina smiles over at him as she takes the coffee from my hands, "Are you going to training with us?" She asks.

"No," Miles responds, not bothering to look over at Katrina, before he gets up from the table and walks towards the front door, tossing his gym bag over his shoulders before leaving the dorm, slamming the door behind him.

"What's got him so pissy this morning?" Katrina asks, a look of worry in her eyes.

I feel I know what it is, but I don't want Katrina to be upset. "Ah, that's just Miles in the morning; he's not a morning person."

"Hmm, okay," Katrina replies, shrugging her shoulders.

"Are you ready to go?" I ask, looking down at my watch, catching a glimpse at the time. If we leave now, we will still make it before the class starts.

"Ready as I'll ever be." She replies with a slight smile on her face.

I take her hand in mine as we walk out the door, "Trust me, darling, you'll love it."

"How do you know?" She asks, looking at me as we walk down the dormitory stairs that lead out to the plaza.

"Because you're my mate, we are made for each other. I cannot be with someone who does not love the water as much as I; it is my kingdom, my place to protect, love, and cherish. I can't have a mate who doesn't feel the same way."
