As the following day came, Belle felt relaxed after yesterday. Her shoulder still hurts, but she knows that it will pass. She went to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast, when someone knocked on her front door.
'Who can it be at this hour?' Belle thought to herself and went to open the door.
When she opened the door, she couldn't believe that Clair dared to come to her house after what she did yesterday.
"What are you doing here, Clair?" she asked without moving from the door.
"I came to settle this situation once and for all!" Then, Clair started to say, "I want you to stay away from Alex forever, move to another country or city. I don't care but stay away from him. His mine! I don't get to share it with anyone when I like something. You got me!" Clair said those words to Belle while pressing her injured shoulder and coming inside her house.
"Are you out of your mind, Clair?" Belle was in pain because of that woman, "Why should I do it? I was born and raised here so I won't move from here, no matter what. Plus, Alex is my friend and Gabie's brother, so…" Belle begins to say when Clair pushed her hard, and she hit her back at the wall behind her.
Belle was in so much pain, but even so, she Called Alex without Clair's knowing. When Alex answered the call, she continued her argument with Clair,
"How dare you push me inside my house? Did you forget that I'm a policewoman? I can make you go to jell for insulting a police officer." So she was saying to Clair while still having her phone with Alex on the line.
"You think I'm afraid of you? If I talk to my daddy, he will make you lose this job as a police officer. So stay away from Alex. He is mine!" Clair screamed and turned around to leave, but as she turned, Alex was standing right behind her with his arms crossed and looking at her like she was a crazy person.
"You never listen to me, and I'm just tired of you, Clair. So this is my last warning for you, stay away from Belle, or I'll break up with you without looking back, got me? As for me, I'll stay away from Belle as you want. But when we work together at some scene that will be, you need to understand that firefighters and polices work together no matter what, got me?" Alex was tired that she always threatened Belle because of her friendship with him, so he did everything to make her safe.
"Very well, Alex. I hope you keep that promise and never break it. And as for you, stay away from him! Let's go, Alex." Clair took Alex by his arm and dragged him from Belle's house. Alex looked for the last time at the only person that could understand him and make his life safer and relaxed.
Belle watched as Alex and Clair left her house and couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. Alex just gave her the words that she always wanted to hear from him, staying away from her.
There is nothing she can do now, Alex gave her his talk, and he'll have to stay away from her. It hurts her not to see him anymore, but that is what he chose when he started dating Clair.
That evening Belle spent her day trying to relax and eat. While she was eating her dinner, there was a knock at her front door, so she decided to go and open the door. She hoped it would not be Clair again, but instead, her best friend and her cousin stood there.
"Come in, guys. It's so great to see you. Want to eat something? I just made dinner." Belle let them come in and moved to the kitchen to sit and eat her dinner. Nic and Gabie followed her to the kitchen and sat down to company her.
"Don't worry about us, Belle. We ate not long ago, so we are full. But we will company you while you eat and even later, Alex called me this afternoon and told me what happens between you and Clair. He feels so bad, Belle. I've never seen my brother this way in my life, and he can't seem to break free from her." Gabie was filling Belle with how Alex felt today with what happened, but Belle knew that and felt bad for him because she knew she had lost him.
