I didn't know when sleep came upon my aching head, but the stopping of the carriage woke me up. I wasn't a deep sleeper, neither did I really want to dream, because anytime a dream slip through it will always be horrid
"you're up my lady, your William friend here kept talking about me not waking you up, he's quite loquacious!" valnor was actually waiting to see William's annoyed reaction and it worked
"hey! I'm right here" williams stated with annoyance
"I know" valnor said helping me out
"Whoa, this is one big mansion" the entire surroundings were decorated in red ornamental flowers and pure green trees, not a leaf lay on the ground. What left me thinking was that it was just only red and green, no other colour.
"May I carry your bag miss?" Arnold offered but I declined respectfully
"thanks for the help but I'm okay with it!"
Valnor again narrowed his eyes at me but then smiled mischievously
"okay Lee, do come in" valnor took my hand and this was the first time he held my hands, I also noticed something.... they were ice cold, not that the weather was freezing cold but mild cool. Nothing in them felt alive, his skin was perfect and not pale but his hands like the waters in the North Pole
"oh thank you valnor" I also made sure not to put a suspicious face, because through the journey I've noticed valnor to be a man who quickly reads any facial expression
"sure" he again looked at me but I kept the fake smile plastered on my face, I was an expert at that.
The house was more fancy at the inside than the out and there were more maids who quickly greeted him with slight trembling voices
"welcome lord valnor"
Meanwhile valnor dismissed them and the real thing he just wanted to do was show me his wealth and greatness in a slow way and that I wasn't prepared for
The main reason I came to London was to discover the meaning of the strange words, but I stumble upon a man who may or may not be a human
The day finally was ending, Arnold showed me my room and also gave William's his but our rooms were far from each other's.
"thank for everything valnor, I really appreciate it" I told him
"it's okay Lee....."
I did something he would only think of. I hugged him tightly like a child on his mother's back, he actually didn't expect it.
Quickly redrawing, I went to my room like nothing has ever happened.
Sitting on my bed, I furrowed my brows with loads of thought pouring in....
Of course I didn't just hug him for hugging sake, I hugged him for investigation sake.
And that brought me to a further thinking, without wasting precious time, I brought out a fresh book and wrote some few observations....
*When he held my hand, they were freezing cold when the weather was slightly cool
*when I hugged him, the same temperature from earlier, freezing cold. His entire body was freezing cold
*during the journey on the sea, he came during sunset, night and before sunrise. Even during the morning time throughout the hours I was looking for Williams, he wore clothes that provides shades
"There's only one explanation to this!"
