"Ofcourse. Dating a hero means you would suit up anytime, even on our dates and have the sinisters sneak into our house while we make out."

"I'm serious right now"
"Oh...uhm...Sorry...Look, Niran, dating me can come with a cost, I know, but trust me. I won't let you down. Anytime. I promis-"
"Don't make promises you can't keep, Parker."
"I swear I will."
" Yeah? Then tell me, if you have only 10 minutes to save just one, who would you go for, a bus full of children that's about to fall off a bridge or me dying in your arms taking a bullet for you?"
"Niran, that's-"
"Hypothetical? I know, but tell me."

"You would go for the bus, even if I ask you to stay."
"Niran...."
"I have seen enough pain in my life already, Parker. Do you think I would seek another one myself, knowing well it would break me?"
"I understan-"
"No you don't."
"Niran! Wait!"
"What?"
"I can be someone whom you want."
"I don't need a hero who would leave me to death to save the world, Parker.
I want someone who would destroy the whole universe to save me."
"A villian?"
"I mean a Hero, just for me."
"Niran...please.."
"I'm leaving"
"Niran, stop. Let's talk."
"Stop following me."
"Niran! Wait!"
"Let go of my hand."
"Niran..."

And that's how Niran alarm woke her that day, blasting her favorite song in her bedroom.
It was unclear, whether it was the dream she had or the alarm, Niran was in a irritated mood, sabotaging everything and when she got ready and met her friend Lakshmi, who was waiting outside her house to pick her up, she was an absolute mess.
"Jeez...Nix, are you on your period?
"What? No."
"Then why do you look like The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, bitten by a stray dog?"
"Just hit the gas, Lux."
"Hm...okay."
The car sped up on the Grizen road, only to halt at the signal few meters away.
"So tell me," Lakshmi turned to her, "who's it this time? A Poor but handsome lad you met on a cruise or a sexy vampire just came to your high-school?"
"Nothing. I just turned down a superhero who shoots webs to save the world."
Hearing this, Lakshmi banged her head onto the steering, "Urghhhh...."
"What?"
"For God's sake, stop dreaming these fantasies if you never want a happy ending to happen !"
"Who cares?"
"I do, stupid."
The rest of the ride to their varsity was pin drop silent.
Niran was gazing at the sky through the window, while Lakshmi sighed at her.
Ofcourse you can't blame Niran, for she never had a single boy come and talk to her during school days. Not even now. She didn't care much about it, 'cause she had her 2D boys who would meet her in her dreams straight up from her books and comics. She never really felt upset of being a loner.
But all these days, Niran didn't notice a spark that appears constantly in her recent dreams.
A spark that's gonna set her dreams, probably her life, on fire.
