"@$$%#^*₩×%&?"
"&$*&£€₹$#=₹*&£."
"Nnghhh....."
Niran moaned in pain, slowly gaining consciousness.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself in a soft and plush mattress covered in crimson silk sheets and pillows.
"I'm not drunk, am I?"
She got up and looked around scanning the place. Towering walls, elegant pillars, lustrous furniture, ornate dresser, everything in there screamed 'royalty'. Not to mention the room was dark themed, giving of royal but eerie vibes.
"Is this a suite of a King?"
"@#%%&*$£€£₹!"
"Huh?"
At the strange sound, Niran looked up to see two guys in armor coming near the bed.
One of the guy seemed younger than Niran herself and the other guy looked more mature and donned armor which looked heavier than the other, with intricate carvings in the centre which looked like a lion encircled by a Cresent moon.
"Woah, the details. What story is this? I don't remember-" Niran froze, her eyes widening, "Wait- How am I talking? I shouldn't be able to move while dreaming, how's this happening?"
By the time Niran was discovering surprising things, those two guys came near her.
"$#%%*#*#€₹?"
Niran tilted her head to a side, not understanding a thing what the younger lad said with so much anger, "Excuse me, what?"
"@#$%₹₹₩#$%$?!@$#@!!"
With this, he tried to charge at Niran, thankfully, the other guy paused him and shook his head negatively.
He turned to Niran, who blinked in confusion and started talking in signs, asking who she is.
"Me?" Niran pointed to herself, "I'm Niran. Niran Williams."
The two guys looked at her like a confused Pandas, trying to contemplate what she said.
"I'm lost." Niran signed to them, "I don't know who you are all, where am I? Please take me to my place"
The guy seemed thinking while the young lad drew his sword and started to shout at Niran, ready to charge
"@#%*£₹€₩!@%(£₹£#@@$$$!!!!!"
"$£@₹!"
Niran and the guy jumped at the sudden noise resonating the room while the heavy armor guy sighed and turned casually, as if used to this.
There, at the entrance of the room, stood a guy, wearing a emblished midnight blue coat over a fitted black tunic and stiff silk pants with silver linings, ornate belts and cuffs glistening in the dim light, silver earrings swaying to an inaudible melody, his long and wavy black locks swept back revealing his alluring olive face, eyes fierce on the guy and Niran.
"Oh god." Niran felt something breaking inside her just by looking at him. She felt as if all those hot 2D boys she fell in love are combined as one and came before her.
He slowly walked towards the three, his black boots sound echoing throught the room.
"$#*&^@#$*,*&*£₹₩."
His husky voice gave chills to the guy who slightly squirmed hearing it while Niran was amazed.
He looked at the armor guy, "%&*^#%$*₩₹?"
"*$*(₩£#%#%@."
With that, he slowly turned to look Niran, crossing his arms, his unfathomable sapphire eyes sizing her up.
The two stood so tall and buff, which made feel Niran so small and helpless, yet, she was determined to get out of this place and stayed calm yet steady, looking at them in their eyes.
The fancy guy was a bit taken aback by Niran's stance but his stone gaze came back in a second.
He turned to the young guy and dismissed him and all the other guards with a curt nod. Ensuring everyone left, he turned to the armor guy, who nodded at him.
Niran couldn't get hold of what's happening when he came close to her, placing his long fingers flat on her forehead and closed his eyes.
"What the-" Niran's words cut short as she felt something electric going throughout her body in slight shivers, making her feel light headed.
When she felt his fingers leave her, she opened her eyes to see him gone back a few steps, in the same crossed arms position.
"What did you do-"
"Now Can you understand us?"
Niran was baffled, "How- how are you speaking English now?"
The guy scoffed, "English? I don't even know what it is? It's you who are speaking my mother tongue."
Niran scratched her head, "Look, I can hear myself speaking in English and I can say you are speaking it too. Why are you lying?"
"Lying? I have no reason to lie to anybody, I, AYK-"
"It's his power." The armor guy cut him off, waving his hand dismissively to stop him, " His magic made you this way. We speak our mother tongue and you speak yours but we both hear what we speak in our native tongue."
"I was about to tell her! Why would you cut me off?!"
"You were just blabbering nonsense."
Niran mulled his words, ignoring their quarrel.
"Wait, that means they can understand too?"
"Who?"
Niran slowly turned and pointed to the screen, "The readers ofcourse!"
"Hm...since they also didn't understand us before, it applies to them too, I guess."
"Thank god, I don't want to suffer this alone."
Niran sighed in relief.
"So, when are you planning to say how you entered my empire, to be more specific, to the guest suite of this palace?"
Niran looked up at them, "Uhm....well, I was in a dream where I saw a lady in golden dust who made me chant something. When I did, there was a blinding light which made me lose consciousness and I found myself here when I woke up."
Both of their eyes widened in shock, looking at each other.
"What?"
"She chose you?"
"What? Who chose me?"
"The Queen..." the armor guy said, turning to the other one, who sighed, tensed.
"I can't believe she chose someone like you."
"Queen? Chose me? For godsake, someone tell me where I am? What is this place? WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?"
The fancy guy lifted his head up, looking Niran,
"I am Ayk and this is Rhys. You are now standing in one of the guest suites of the royal palace of our empire, DARKKAILYHT."
