Chapter 164 - Six feet deep

"..."

"She isn't letting go..."

"Well, neither is he!"

"What am I supposed to do then!?"

"Shut up you idiots."

Kai and Sebastian cast injured looks toward Davina while Gwen carefully approached the pair under everyone's eyes.

They had found them both holding onto each other as if their life depended on it. Hell, even the guards saw it and the stares they were sending Eva told how confused they felt deep inside.

So their King wasn't interested in men?

"..."

A guy turned his head away as his hand wiped his cheek, his friend patting his back with his head bowed.

They ran out of chances, didn't they?

"Eva, let him go. We cant take care of you both otherwise." she softly murmured and Theo shifted slightly, his grip on her waist only increasing.

"Why don't we get them both back together?" Davina suggested and all eyes traveled toward her in an instant.

Gwen nodded in agreement when she realized there was no other option left. He didn't seem like he was going to let go anytime soon and neither was she.

Seeing that no one opposed the idea, Davina raised her hand and waved her fingers around intricately in mixed woven patterns. Sebastian recognized the hand movement immediately and backed away from the pair and back to Gwen's side.

Under everyone's gazes, they both got lifted up into the air. Theo's body was below and hovering in the air while Eva was still tightly in his grip.

Davina knew that she could've used another one of her spells to move them away from each other but this was Theo.

Theo didn't let go of the things he wanted.

Hell, she didn't know what could've happened if they tried to take her away forcefully.

Either Hell would've erupted or defense spells would've hit them all in the worst possible ways.

Casting a quick warming enchantment toward them, Davina started walking back toward the house, cursing Theo in her head silently.

'The bastard had to prevent teleportation too...'

Kai hurriedly gave quick orders to the rest of the guards and commanded them to increase the forces near the borders by double the previous amount. Considering the recent events, the defense spells needed some more strengthening and the guards meanwhile needed to remain on high alert.

With Theo out, Eden would be in danger if Davina had to go somewhere and they all had their jobs to do in preparation for the upcoming war.

Hell, he also needed to discuss their strategies with Lysander but Theo hadn't been exactly free these days. They were getting delayed and it was being done on purpose.

At a distance, a man watched all this happen with a grim turn to his pale lips.

All that he had done, all the problems he had to go through just for all this to happen...

Why was she so attached to him!?

He wasn't even that fucking powerful!

But somehow they needed to be separated...

He had thought that she would have assumed that the King had locked her inside his room for her to die alone. But apparently their trust in each other... was beyond foolish.

He slightly shook his head, his silver hair fluttering in the air. The snowflakes falling heavily everywhere somehow didn't graze past him. Not a single particle touched his body as if an invisible barrier was blocking them all from freezing his body.

The aura around the tall man was suffocating though in a different manner from Theo's. If someone stepped near, they would've felt as if the cold was choking them voluntarily and enjoying their discomfort more than anything else.

"In the end, you ended up being the same as that witch..." he muttered softly, his eyes growing hollow with each passing second.

Eva reminded him too much of that woman... but he couldn't do anything about it except for being patient for the time being. She might be too weak to reach her full potential but somebody could do that instead of her.

The only problem was: How was he supposed to extract all that chaotic energy without harming the main core?

If too much pressure was applied, it could burst and then decades of his life would be burnt to ashes. The only reason the girl was still alive was because of the thing living inside her.

The outer part was just the shell; he needed what was buried deep inside.

Breathing out in disappointment, he turned to teleport past the borders but as he closed his eyes, he was thrown backward with a force that was enough to break the top of one of the mountains.

Blinking open his grey eyes, he groaned softly and darted his sight around in search of the attacker.

His senses were increased by a triple fold at the sudden defense out of nowhere. How had something managed to get past all those protection barriers that easily!?

No one that powerful was born yet... the only one powerful enough was lying six feet deep under the very ground he was standing on.

Was it because of his teleportation?

Standing up again, he rolled his shoulders back and stepped forward. Closing his eyelids, the mist around his brain gathered up into a surge of power. Just as he was about to shift in space, he was thrown back once again, though this time it was harder and stronger than the previous time.

Something or someone was stopping him from exiting this hellhole...

Who the fuck dared!?

Kicking the snow near him, he gritted his teeth, losing his cool for the first time after that bastard of a King had died.

Even after murdering him indirectly, his son still had to live on just because a stupid Fate fell head over heels for him after draining him of everything.

Now how was he supposed to get out of here?!

Throwing his fists on the nearest snow covered wall, he groaned out in anger and could only wait for the time being until the protection spells, or whatever was blocking his exit, relaxed down a little.
