Chapter 82 - Fate

Theodore smiled, unnerved by her glare. "Me."

"What the hell do you want?" she asked and her eyes glinted as she gazed at her broken throne with wide, angry eyes.

Theodore shrugged a shoulder nonchalantly and walked towards the rest of the throne which was still in good condition despite the scratches on it. Taking a seat on it, he ran his inked hand through his dark mess of hair and sighed.

"What do you want from her?"

Isabella sneered. "Who? Evangeline?"

He looked sideways at her and Isabella gulped unconsciously. She would be lying if she said that he didn't scare her and the look in his eyes now was proof that he wasn't in control of his rage.

Seeing that he was waiting for her to speak, she opened her mouth and said, "She's my biological niece. I am her legal guardian and therefore she belongs to me— "

"Say that again and your poor guards will have to clean a bloody mess when they enter this room," he growled out. His eyes flashed and Isabella could swear that she saw a glint of silver in those violet irises.

"I am her only living relative." she spit out, unwilling to let her fear show. She wouldn't back out in front of this evil demon like a coward.

"Well, then would you leave her alone if I make you her dead relative?" questioned Theo and tilted his head to a side, his face looking dangerously breath-taking and feral at the same time.

"Did you ever tell her what you've done these past years?" Isabella managed to speak out and the ends of her lips curved up. "How you slaughtered millions without batting an eyelash? The blood of the innocents that you have on your hand? Forget all that!" she cried out and her eyes glittered as she uttered,

"Does she know how Estella spreads her legs— "

In an instant, his hand was gripping her neck against a wall as his eyes fluctuated between violet and red. Isabella chuckled out like a mad woman feeling proud that she knew where it stung best.

"I'm guessing she doesn't know about that part right?"

"Mind your own fucking business." Theo gritted out, his voice low like a predator when they encounter their prey.

Letting go of her neck, he stepped back and felt bile rise up in his throat when he remembered all those moments when he had entered that tower and they had touched him and tortured him in places that he still shuddered to look at. He tried to push back all those feelings but each and every memory kept on replaying before him making his stomach clench tightly.

"If you want Eva so badly." he managed to growl off and smirked. "You'll have to get past me first."

Isabella blanched seeing that her words had no effect on him. He didn't even look afraid that she might tell that girl all that he had done. Her biggest fear was that he would find out who Eva truly was and would never think of letting her go. If it came to that, a war would be the only option left.

"Oh, I apologize in advance." he suddenly spoke and Isabella saw him snap his fingers before she blinked, and he teleported out of the room.

She wondered what he was talking about and was about to leave when her eyes spotted her throne which was now burning with flames, fire spreading throughout the room and ceiling.

Isabella gasped, and immediately screamed. Her shouts attracted the attention of the guards and servants nearby whose eyes widened simultaneously when they saw the fiery scene before them. The ones who had their wits about them quickly ran out of the room to grab buckets full of water to throw on the flame. Some men stamped their feet on the carpets to let the flames cease and not spread throughout the whole castle.

Isabella stood there watching the whole scene with her hands clenched into fists by her side. He had burned through her whole court and left nothing but ashes and burned walls behind.

She decided that she would take apart his Kingdom the same way he had broken her throne. She would take advantage of his newfound weaknesses and exploit them in the worst way. The girl belonged to Alastor from the start and that's where she would end up. It was fate.

Fate... the word wandered into her mind as she smiled widely, clasping her hands together and letting out an evil cackle. She didn't think that Estella would take it easy when she found out that Theodore was no longer under her full control.
