The sun hit high into the sky notifying us that it was mid-day. Down below the castle grounds, Vladians rode on horse backs sparring with each other with the vampires, wolves and mages doing the same in their various fields. It was beautiful.
"How are you holding up?" he asked removing some weeds from my hair.
"I'm fine," I answered fixated on the scenery before me. Looking into the forest after the gate, the fogs there cleared up revealing a dark cold expanse of land. That was where I had passed through with Umbra during my transfer from the human to the mythical world.
"You sure about that?" he asked again still worried.
"Aaron," I smiled sending him a side glance. "I'm fine, there's no need to worry."
His eyes pierced mine, his golden colored iris sending warmth into my body. "I believe you," he said taking my hand into his with a kiss on its back.
"Thank you for everything."
