"You look like you got beat up by that creature we fought last night," Edward laughed sizing my battered body up. "You sure it was my kind who did this to you?"
"For the thousandth time Edward yes it was Melial."
"Who hit you this hard like you were nothing?"
Halting in my steps, I bit my lip taking my time to not punch him in the face.
"I'm sorry," he said, his hands showing signs of retreat. "It's kind of hard to believe that you can survive being beaten by a creature three times the size of a werewolf but not a Vladian with a spiked club."
"He had it laced with monkshood," I noted starting my descent down a steep field filled with purple petunia.
"You mean wolfsbane," he corrected.
"No, monkshood," I counter corrected. "It's a poisonous plant to mythical creatures and even humans themselves."
"Different cultures call it different names," he argued trying to sound smart.
