Xylia started the tour by showing Aciel the different buildings inside the campus. She brought her to the soccer field so he could see all the five structures magnificently standing in front of them.
"The first building is for all the faculty members. The principal's office, the infirmary, the cafeteria, the counselor's office, the teacher's, and the director's office is in there. A big meeting room is also in that building." Xylia started.
She didn't know if Aciel was listening to her, but she didn't care. She wanted the day to end and go home. She was already feeling sick about everything that had happened, so she wanted to go straight to bed and rest.
"The second building is for the first-year students and the sophomores. The third one is for the juniors, and the fourth building is for us, the seniors." She continued.
Aciel looked at the five buildings one by one. They were designed differently from the boys' school. The environment of the campus was gentle and had a soft ambiance. The buildings were designed in modern Nordic architecture. From just one look, you would be instantly drawn by the numerous windows and the buildings' unique design. The appearance was almost playful with the pops of colors on the exterior. Overall, it wasn't gloomy like his school, it had a feminine touch with a quiet and peaceful surrounding.
"How about the last building? What's that for?" He asked.
"It's the building for the school clubs and the student council room. Tomorrow all of the clubs will approach each of you to join them, so I suggest you consider the activity you are interested in." Xylia explained.
"I assumed you don't have a club since you're the president."
Xylia sensed sarcasm from Aciel's words, but she shunned it and just answered his comment.
"Yes. My role is to be fair to everyone. The student council president decides each club's budget and the allowed activities they can do inside the school. If I was in one of those clubs, some might think that I'm not fair with my decisions. The other members could join a club since I'm the one who makes the final decision."
"Then you will have to consider the clubs where the student council members are. That's not being fair." Aciel continued to voice out his sarcasm.
"No. My decision has nothing to do with my friends or the student council members. It was all based on my judgment."
Aciel chuckled, making Xylia's anxiety grow.
"Funny. You said you were not allowed to join because the students might think of an unfair judgment. But how about the members of your council? Do you expect no one would think that you are giving their club favors?
Xylia didn't see that coming. Aciel's point was correct. She was the one who suggested that the other members could join any club except her, thinking that it was a fair judgment. She had to think it over again. She shouldn't make a mistake as the president. Her actions and decisions were calculated, and no one should find any error in what she does.
"Whatever. I'm just saying the facts anyway. So where should we go next?"
Aciel felt Xylia become agitated, so he didn't wait for her response and changed the topic. He knew he was being mean to her. He hated women like her. She seemed so perfect, but he knew she was hiding something dark. They all are. He thought.
Xylia brought Aciel to the garden. The latter was impressed by its beauty and couldn't take his eyes off it.
"Well, I didn't expect a garden as beautiful as this was inside a campus full of girls." He commented.
"Let's say someone who loves flowers so much helped maintain the beauty of this place." Xylia proudly answered.
Connected hedges and bushes accompanied an unsoiled field of moss-covered grass. A greenhouse stood in the back right of the garden, delivering a garden within a garden. The flower beds were undoubtedly the pride and joy of the garden, as they were very well cared for; they were a unique, miniature-like world.
Archways overgrown with flowers were scattered throughout the garden, leading visitors around naturally. Vines were trying to reclaim every part of the garden, searching for new places to grow and expand.
The greenhouse eternally beckons all visitors, drawing all attention toward it. The flower beds looked outlandish, and the hedges and bushes were nothing to sneeze at, but nothing surpasses the majesty of the greenhouse.
Xylia continued and toured Aciel around the campus. He listened to her since it would be his school for a year, but he didn't hide his annoyance toward the president.
After the tour, everyone returned to the auditorium and was given time to mingle with each other. The school prepared food and drinks for the students and let them have a break.
"So, how's the experience with the president?" Simon asked curiosity piqued.
Aciel smirked. "Nothing special."
Simon shook his head; he still couldn't understand the reason Aciel hated Xylia.
"Are you okay, Xylia?" Chelsea asked, worried.
"I'm fine. I'm just tired." She answered.
Xylia was startled when her phone vibrated from her pocket. She took her phone out and frowned when she saw a message. It was from her mother, asking her to come to the student council's room. She sighed and quietly left the auditorium.
Aciel felt suffocated and decided to leave. They were given a break, so he went to the rooftop to be alone. Xylia didn't bring him there, but she showed her how to get there.
Before Aciel could reach the stairs to the rooftop, he passed by the student council's room and noticed that the door was slightly open. He carefully looked at who was inside and was surprised by what he saw.
It was Xylia talking to a lady who looked older than Mrs. Romero. She was wearing an elegant red dress, and her hair was neatly tied. She was beautiful but seemed strict and serious.
"Hello, mother. What brings you here?" Xylia said, calmly greeting the woman in front of her.
