Chapter 36 - CHAPTER 36

After tasting each other's lips and relaxed they sat and that's when she realized that they were alone,

"What, you rented this place just for the two of us," She talked while looking around while avoiding his eyes. And he liked every bit of it, he liked her weather she was violent, loud, shy and cony.

"I know this was fast but I couldn't help it," He was seriously looking at her and she smiled at him. She had no words to tell him.

"Let's play a game," A lady came and handed him a box which he placed in the middle of the table. He divided the cards inside and gave some to her.

"What game," She looked at what was written inside and laughed. "I never thought that Mr CEO here would play such games,"

"Well Mr CEO here is still human remember," They both laughed and stared at each other. Drinks were served and the two began their game,

"What's your name? Seriously…" Ken nodded his head waiting for his answer,

"You never know… you may have some middle name that I don't know." Athena raised her glass and sipped her Havana drink while Ken had Johnny walker.

"Athena Miles…you don't have to know the rest."

"Mmmh…"He looked at her and stood walking on her side putting his big palm out.

"What…" She looked at his serious face and had no choice but comply. Standing up she placed her small palm on his handsome palm and walked with him to the ball area and a smooth classic song was played.

 (Lukas graham- Love someone)

"You love this type of music," His fingers found itself on her waist and pulled her close and held her close not wanting to let go.

"Cause when you love someone, you open up your heart.

When you love someone, you make room.

IF you love someone, and not afraid to lose them you better love someone like I do." He sang the song like a youth boy in his mid-20, and Athena was the fan girl.

"Ever thought of joining the music industry… your voice is soo golden."

"Nah… you're just making fun of me." Time passed by while the two danced slowly on repeat and never got tired being in each other's arms.

...............

"You are joining me in Country C's office and it's final…" Joan made fists with her small hands Lewis always got what he wanted and now he's forcing her to join him in his new opened office.

She glared at him but couldn't refuse him because she had no other option, she needed money to upgrade herself and she was under a contract of one year and she had four month ahead.

"Can I make a suggestion?" Whether he agreed or not she was going to tell him anyway.

"Anything, speak your mind." He rolled in circle with his big black swivel chair like a five year old.

"My contract here says that I've got four months remaining," He hummed urging her to continue. "After I complete my remaining four months I won't renew the contract." And just like that she was done with the conversation and was ready to go out when Lewis stood and walked to her and sat on his table in front of her.

"What's the hurry? I've not answered yet." He signed looking at the stubborn lady in his sight.

"What are you running from in this company? Do they treat you unfairly?" He stood and removed his suit jacket placing it on his grey sofa and sat next to it.

"If I remember correctly you had a dream of being a designer or a stylist if I remember correctly." Joan looked at him with interest and all that he said was true. And this made his heart rejoice he had got her spot and he had to play his card correctly.

 "What do mean,"

"Came down this conversation needs hot tea or coffee so we can talk like professionals…mmmh"

"Demy…" he called through the office phone and she came running in like lightning but stopped on the spot when she spotted Joan sitting next to Lewis on the sofa.

She felt like flying and pull of the leach face off but despite the envy that she had she had to smile an ugly smile that made her look funny and it made Joan almost chock in laughter.

Ladies were really shameless to embarrass themselves just for a man, she thought.
