Lewis drove beyond the wanted speed and almost bumped into a tree when the car tires punctured and that saved his damn life , why was he overreacting, they weren't even couple, she didn't even acknowledge him . He had to act like a man he is.
He came out of the car scratching his head cursing, this was the latest car he bought , he had no luck and no control over love, if loving is this reckless then he'll have to love himself first. Loving Joan was a hard rock to break , to get her attention he had to wait for eternity.
His phone rang inside the car ,
" hello man, what happened? I've been calling you few minutes ago, what's your plan ?" a happy man questioned .
" ah! meet me at Longway street , " he just sat there confused, she's so ungrateful, how can she be so ungrateful? he tried his best to give her a good life from her slippery mom .
Athena and Joan separated, she took a taxi to the wells mansion she had no time to talk to the woman glaring at her , so she walked straight to her room.
she locked herself in the bathroom and opened the shower, the cold water flowing confirmed to her that she was not dreaming, the reality slapped her so hard so she can realize that she was running alone in the endless one to a million race.
she had to win this race , she had to show her crazy bitch side no one is allowed to cross her line not even her mother. Because her mother decided to be selfish, that can also apply to her she has to think about herself more.
she showed in the cold shower and slept. The following morning she rose up early, took a shower again then left to the kitchen, she was really starving.
" Good morning, " the house help smiled,
" morning, how are you,?" Joan asked serving her food .
" am good Ms Joan , well yesterday you came in fuming are you okay now ?" she was concerned....of which she was just starting a gossip. And if Joan understood her she changed the topic.
" I'll be leaving now for my job , see you later " joan left with no other word, she won't give this lady what she wanted that would only cause her trouble.
she boarded a taxi to the
company, at the door step she saw lewis walking in , she felt both anger and guilt dancing in her brain. Why should I feel guilty, he's the one who did not respect my personal life .
She walked in ignoring the glares that she received the secretary . This woman always has nothing constructive to think about, the two glared and criticized each other.
she sat at her desk and started sorting out the pile of documents filled on her table ,' this damn secretary ' she just cursed , she really had a long day a head of her .. she had to show this secretary that she's just wasting her time and energy on non constructive things.
Lewis walked past the busy Joan, he felt like stopping and trying to talk to her but words just stuck in his throat and his long legs just seemed to continue walking.
Further more, he had nothing to say to her he just wanted to make things easier for her but , she was blinded by hate.
