THIRD PERSON POV:
Xiao and the gorgon stood at a petrified Ace.
"Get him to Mage-Lord immediately, before anyone suspects".
She nodded and looked at Xiao in an affectionate manner.
"It was hard to give him up. Thank you!".
"From what's happening, they'll come for him soon. Get....".
"...And here we are!".
Two girls in masks came out of the blues in corporate.
"We've got guests, Qoora!".
Xiao jammed his hands against each other and sabre-like swords came into his hands.
Qoora brought out a dagger, and at the push of a button, it became a sword.
"Li Xiao Chen! Best recruit mage in the Mage-Lord Squadron School. And Qoora Wizar, best Vishari(Assasin-Warrior) of the same sect".
"Since you know who we are, let's get this over with".
Soon, Xiao's bones came crushing together. He fell down on his knees, writhing in pain.
Qoora rushed to his aid to no avail.
"Blood witches!" scoffed Qoora.
"I know blood magic doesn't work on gorgons, because technically, you have no blood. So, before you go berserk on us, think of your buddy here".
"Qo...ora..., take A...ce...to... Mage-Lord. D..on't wo...rry about...me!" Xiao winced heavily.
"Hand him over to us and we'll let your pal live to end the day".
"Go...,go, for...get ab...out me!" Xiao struggled.
"Don't sacrifice your best friend for a stranger you don't know. Think wisely!".
"Qoora! Wh...at...?".
Xiao coughed out blood and groaned louder in pains as she tightened the leash.
"Stop it! Please!".
"She just pulled out all the stops. He'll bleed out in a minute tops. So release the pureblood and you'll have your buddy back!".
Xiao started bleeding from every hole in his body as his heart rate tripled rapidly.
He tried to talk but coughed out more blood.
"Fine! I accept!".
Xiao's blood slowed in it's momentum and his heart rate returned to nearly normal. He collapsed instantly.
She touched the heel of Ace and immediately, he turned normal.
"He should be conscious in an hour!".
She turned to nurse Xiao.
One on the girls saddled Ace firmly and effortlessly on her back.
"Thanks so much for your assistance".
The other girl gave Qoora a killer blow from behind and she fell unconscious.
They turned and walked away as briskly as they could.

JANE POV:
Ace and Xiao were absent from class today. Even Shola and Aurella hasn't seen them.
Today was the Discovery Ceremony where every student discovered their special talent.
Parents were seated in their grandest attires, wanting to outdo the other.
It was a unofficial matriculation ceremony of sort.
I hoped they're late for catching up on Ace's school work since Shola joined the Wizards Scholars Society lately, and was too busy for even coming to the cafeteria.
Participation was solely on alphabetical arrangement of attendees' names.
The materials used were seven in number, representing all known and accepted divisions of magic; Naturals(plants, animals, organisms), Elementals,(water,wind,fire,stone), Scholars(knowledge of all), Illuminators(controllers of light, visions), Mages(magic and sword), Healers(curers of any ailments or wounds), Druids(spell-masters).
Soon, Aurella was called up for her test.
I wasn't paying attention to details.
I was worried sick about Ace.
I went outside to use the convenience when I saw people in uniforms straight-jacketing Melinda. On their uniforms were boldly written 'MRD'.
(MRD means Magic Regulation Department).
I hid away and watched as they took her away.
Soon, the deafening applause came from the hall.
"Naturals!" said the anchor.
Aurella was a Natural.
I rushed to the loo and washed my face intently, but without purpose.
Soon, I started seeing and hearing things like I was hallucinating.
I soon fell unconscious like into a trance.

BECCA POV:
I was running away from the men in suits tailing me since some hours ago.
They chased me in a powerful truck. I then decided against going head-on against them. I haven't drank blood in a century.
I ran as fast into the woods as I could. I didn't even know where I was.
I got tased from behind. I fell down flat on my face. Another latched onto me as I was electrocuted.
"Easy, girl, easy!".
I saw Sarah and the squad in the woods. I shook my head in disagreement to any attacks.
Sarah was crying. Terry dragged her and they withdrew before they were spotted.
Another taser shot at me and I fell unconscious.
