"Are you talking to me?" Lust inquired.
"Wow!, so you are retarded too, I always thought those that were bigger and older than me were wiser, I guess in your case, you aren't,"
"What?!"
Heated with wrath, Lust swooped down to grab Adam from the floor and brought his face closer to his as he declared.
"I could squeeze you to death right now if I wanted to,"
"Eww, when was the last time you brushed? Would you focus your revolting breath elsewhere,"
"Why you little?..,"
"What? You wanna kill me? Then do it, if you think death is what I fear the most then you are wrong. I've lost everything and everyone that matters most to me. Nothing could be worst compared to that, SO KILL ME,"
Lust could clearly see the convictions within Adam's eyes as he declared those words. The last thing he would want is to invite Athena's wrath if he kills the human before him.
Even Ares himself fears Athena whenever she becomes enraged. So the rational thing to do in such a scenario is to drop Adam.
"Good. Now you see that wasn't so hard, so tell me what am I to do, why was I chosen and who do I have to kill?"
Adam knew if he were to be summoned to this world with the aim of being a hero just like in novels he had read, then of course he would have to kill some bad guys but the first priority now is to find out any necessary information about this world.
"You see, it all started....."
"Wait! Wait! You see that right there? That's a big NO for me. Isn't there any other way I can get all the information I need. You are an higher being right? So that shouldn't be arduous,"
Adam inquired after he chimed in. Although lust was ired by the sudden interruption, he obliged nonetheless. A blue hued light in the shape of a ball exuded from Lust's head and flew directly into Adam's head.
Memories of his first life enslavement, torture, molestation, malnutrition and all other kinds of indescribable events were unfolded before his very eyes.
The images viewed in his mind divulged the duration of time lust had known of his very existence.
"Ah!!" Adam dropped to his knees and made a long loud piercing cry upon witnessing the ordeals no normal human could ever endure.
Tears sprang from his eyes as various experiences he had endured such as being used as a slave by the humanoids under the direct order of the four Generals of the humanoid army and the memories of the months he had to endure being used as a slave for their amusement came into view.
He could see faces and people he barely remembers but could feel with lust memories that they were people very important and precious to the previous him. All these information could have been easily brushed aside seeing as how it had been done centuries ago but an image came to mind.
An image of a bald tanned man who appears much younger to the one he knows presently came up in one of those memories. It turns out he was or still is a paladin. The bald young man was assigned to 'take care' of the royals and nobles of the kingdom of Virgo.
The previous Adam had been a ward to the then current king of the scarlet royal family (King Magnus) who was initially a noble before taking on the mantle of regent and later he succeeded the throne from the previous king who was notorious at the time as The Mad King (Adam's grandfather).
King Magnus was killed by the tanned man known as Blanchard, who was ordered by the hero of the kingdom of Leo to seize control of the kingdom of Virgo due to their apathetic response towards the idea of summoning a hero/paladin in their kingdom.
Blanchard had a certain interest in cute young boys and so he killed all the male nobles and sold the women and children into slavery to the third division General of the humanoid ranks. The royal subjects were given a choice, to choose between joining the royal families fate or paying taxes.
Tax payments at the time wasn't gold coins or currencies which was the norm nowadays but were actually the elves, demi humans and dwarves who still resided and kept themselves hidden in Virgo at the time. And with a heavy heart most of the royal subjects chose the latter while few chose the path of their king.
Why were demi humans, elves, dwarves and the likes required as tax? Well that's because to summon a paladin, the minimum requirement needed to do so was the life force of at least a million demi humans.
Usage of humans in the summoning of heroes/paladins were highly prohibited. And based on the fact that the demi humans, dwarves and elves were the only race who didn't have a god involved in the game under their protection, they were viewed as scapegoats for the greater good.
Adam could see himself witnessing the procedures involved in summoning such heroes. He could see thousands of innocent demi humans of different kinds and races screaming, crying and praying as they were kept in pods stacked upon one another in various compartments with their life force sucked out of them one after the other.
The life force were used to not only provide a paladin with astronomical levels but also immortality. Blanchard was not only known for toying and torturing his boys but also experimenting and performing various tests on them.
Seeing as how the previous Adam was producing negative results towards the tests and torturing he did. Blanchard sold him to the third General of the humanoid armies, who gave the other Generals exclusive access and freedom to do whatever they wanted with the human.
Though all four Generals had revolting fetishes, still the previous Adam had swore to himself to tolerate all hardships that came his way while keeping in mind the promise he had made with the humanoid king.
With the promise that he could return back to the human realm after dwelling in the monster realm for a decade, Adam endured all hardships and surprisingly to every high ranking humanoid officials, the human was able to withstand the ordeals for approximately ten years.
He aimed to return home to at least pay his respect to his deceased friends and families. That was all he asked for, But alas things didn't go as planned, the previous Adam was killed on his way back to the human realm and on his dying breath, he swore that if he were ever afforded the chance of reincarnation, he would bring hell towards the doorsteps of all four Generals including their Kings. He would make each and every one of them feel what it is like to be powerless against a more formidable foe.
"Ah!!" Tears escaped his eyes and trailed down his face and onto the floor as he sniveled upon the realization of how cruel the world actually is and how foolish he had been to have not appreciate the ones closest to him on Earth.
Feelings of regrets came welling up inside of him. He regretted not treating his parents better when they were alive, he never showed enough love to his little sister, he regretted choosing the wrong major in college and not to mention he had awkward moments in getting a girlfriend. 'Even after all this, why was he still granted the gift of life, why not anyone else from his family'. Adam thought but.....
"Will you keep quiet, do you want the guardians to come here?"
Lust hushed him seeing as how he doesn't want to quiet down anytime soon. Adam could barely control the anger he felt towards Blanchard and the four humanoid Generals.
Blanchard, the one who calls himself a hero. No matter how Adam looks at it, his and Blanchard's fate were intertwined. Yes Blanchard killed the people who were regarded as family to him in this world and it just so happens to be that his uncle had a similar feature to that of Blanchard but was a little bit matured than the one he sees in Lust's memories.
Only one thing matters right now and that is killing Blanchard and the four humanoid generals.
The ordeals he had endured under them were just too harrowing to ignore so easily.
One way or another Blanchard had taken something precious from him not once but twice, there won't be a third time because now it's Adam's turn to destroy everything Blanchard held dear.
He needed justice for both families and he aimed to achieve such dreams. Adam would make sure Blanchard rue the day he was named a paladin. A hero? A sudden realization came to mind.
"Was I summoned using a similar process?" Adam's inquiry was purely based on the fact that he wondered if the life force of various Demi humans and elves were required for his summoning.
"No and if you do not believe me, you could ask him,"
Lust made a gesture indicating that Adam should look behind himself. A eight meter tall man dressed in a tattered clothing and chained in fetters and manacles against the wall came into view.
Scars and bruises were laid bare on his body, evident of 'THE TREATMENT' he had been subjected to all along.
"Who is that?"
"Is that the way you refer to the one who gave you life?" A voice rebuked to the discourteous words uttered by Adam.
