Chapter 74 - Guilt

Without caring for Lucius's opinion on the matter, Savine got into a random house and got a random pair of trousers and a shirt. She switched out his clothes and messed his hair and face up a bit. Even still, he looked especially handsome, thus she needed to make him wear a mask. Lucius let it happen without a word.

In the end, he looked like a somewhat puzzling servant, carrying his master's orders.

Finished, Savine and Eliseline hopped into the carriage with Zuri, and they threw a rag over themselves.

"Let's go."

There was a long pause, maybe 20 seconds. Lucius moved eventually, his steps heavy and his heart the same.

On the way, they encountered two more bodies on the ground, two children with a leather ball between them. With how intently and furiously Lucius stared at the corpses, Savine could only be glad he couldn't see into the buildings like she did.
