That night...
Jason's POV
I looked out the window. It looks really beautiful outside tonight. Especially because people are shooting off fireworks. This makes it the perfect night to destroy the city. No one will even notice me!
I look at the couch. Kitty I mean Katie is curled up on the couch, sleeping peacefully. I almost forgot she was there.... Why is her tail fluffier than mine? You think I might be able to touch...AHHHH NO! NONONONO! But it's so fluffy! Would she be that fluffy in her wolf form? No Jason. Stop. You have to focus....what was I doing again? Oh, yes, I was scheming. Um, scheming to take over the city...yeah.
Katelyn's POV
Jason was looking back and forth at me and was dropping everything. "*bleep*, *BLEEP* Uh, don't worry Katelyn I have it all under control!" Yeah right. I get off the couch and walk up next to Jason to see what he was doing. "What is this stuff," I ask. "My master plans," Jason replies. "More like failed plans," I muttered. Jason looks at me with an unamused glare. What? Jason sighed. "I have to find a way to destroy the city." "Why," I asked. "Because it's the only way I can get revenge," said Jason. "What did they do," I ask. "They killed my family. My pack. Everything I had, they took it away...," he growled.
"Well that's not going to solve anything," I said.
"OF COURSE IT WILL! It should! It has to!"
"But what if it doesn't?"
"I...I...I don't know."
Jason dug his claws into the counter, and started breathing shakily. Is he crying? Jason turned away for a moment and wiped his arm against face. He turned back to look at me.
Jason's POV
"Um, so, the humans are going to be busy watching fireworks tonight," I said, "um...perfect night to teach you how to hunt...I guess...but of course I have to teach you how to become a wolf first." Katelyn's ears tilted.
I don't blame her for being confused. I was also confused my first time hearing that. "Uhh...here. Take this." I give Katie one of my old hoodies. She...actually... looks...likesheisreadytogo.
Alright let's go. I lead Katie out to the forest. Hoping not to be seen. "Why can't I just hunt like this," Katie asks. "I mean, you can. You just need speed, stealth, and a really good blade," I replied.
Katelyn's POV
In a matter of seconds, Jason then dashed ahead, shifting into a dark brown wolf. He bounced off trees and drifted around in the dirt. Jason came to a halt, sitting in front of me, with his tail wagging. "Wasn't that cool," he asked. I looked down at him and nodded.
"So how do I do that," I asked. "Well, in all honesty, turning into a werewolf is very very hard," said Jason, "....Well not very very hard. But it's hard. But not too hard. But it's still hard to do." "Okay I get it," I growled.
I didn't know what to put so....A few hours of chasing and scaring Jason later...
Jason's POV
"JASON LOOK! I'M A WOLF! LIKE YOU!" Katie exclaimed, as she ran in circles around me. I look at Katie. She does look pretty...uh fluffy. "So are you ready to go hunting," I asked. Katie stopped running and spun in circles, excited.
"OKAY OKAY, STOP SPINNING BEFORE YOU MAKE YOURSELF DIZZY," I barked. Katie stopped spinning and ran over to my side. "What do I do," she asked.
Katelyn's POV
Jason simply stared. I pawed Jason's snout. "Uhh...hello? Jason?" Jason licks me on the nose. "Uh, there was...dirt...on you."
Suuurrre. "Most important thing you wanna know is if you're gonna go out as a wolf, you need to act like a wolf," Jason barked, "you will follow me around as if I am your alpha and you will most certainly NOT spin in circles like a pup." Jason starts walking and looking around.
Jason's POV
I occasionally look behind me, making sure Katie was still close by. I can hear the howling of a familiar wolf. He's the alpha of his pack, and he tries not to show himself often. Especially because of what humans did to his ancestors. "Jason look!" Katie yipped.
I look in the same direction she is. "Are we going to catch it?" She asks. "You're not skilled enough to take down a deer. You let me handle this." I replied. Katie's ears dropped. "Okay..."
Katelyn's POV
I wandered around as Jason creeps towards the deer without making a sound. But then I heard a rustling in the bushes behind me. I slowly walk forward, and immediately a rabbit starts hoping away. "You're not going to escape from me!" I barked.
Jason's POV
Another perfect catch. "Let's see here...got a deer, some trout, few squirrels..." "COME BACK!" Katie barked. I jumped and turned around. Katie was chasing a rabbit around the forest.
The rabbit runs to their burrow. But before they could jump in, Katie quickly jumps on it and pins it down. "BITE IT!" I barked. "WHY?" Katie asked. "SO YOU CAN KILL IT!"
Katelyn's POV
I bit down on the rabbit. Just as Jason said, and the rabbit fell still. "JASON I DID IT!" I barked, bringing it over. "Wow. That's a lot!" I exclaimed. Jason slowly began wagging his tail.
"I know, right? I must be a really good hunter eh?" Jason bragged. "You're just a really good hunter because have more experience." I pointed out. Jason stared with his ears perked. "It's time to go home." He barked. "You know I'm right." I stated.
