Inside with Leonard and Daisy....
"Now we may talk." Leonard said.
Daisy understood something was wrong but she still crossed the first level so didn't think of it and moved ahead.
"Then what do you have for me?" She asked and he laid down his almost whole stash for her.
"So, can you tell me atleast one influential person who brought from you? Someone I can believe? Like someone who was straight but changed for your Drugs.... or for you?" Daisy played with him to get the truth out.
"Well you know Lisa Mennon?"
"Yeah?"
"She used buy stuffs in a huge amount. I think she used to sell."
"Wow that is something. But you are not giving me confidence yet. Lisa Mennon didn't really change. She needed money desperately."
"She was the daughter of the most influential father."
"Was?"
"I heard she disappeared."
"Yeah but not dead. You said 'was' that is referring a dead person."
"Well disappeared, dead same thing."
"Anyways let's get back to the stash. I would like to buy these." She pointed out some stuffs and said that she will come next day to buy it.
"Alright nice to have a deal and we will have it tomorrow."
"Great." They shook hands and Daisy came out of there.
Seeing Daisy unscathed was really helpful. She came and sat in a car to go. We followed her and met up at the designated place.
As soon as we reached. Linda ran to her and hugged her tightly.
"I am fine Linda. Don't worry."
"Your plan failed though. We couldn't record anything." James said.
"Who said?" Daisy said while pulling out the phone with her camera on the whole time.
"I knew something was wrong the moment he first disagreed of selling drugs and after a minute he called me in. So for safety I switched on and recorded in the camera everything we talked about." Daisy explained sending us all in awe.
"But how did you carry the phone in? I mean a man who is so careful would never let you carry the cellphone in." James asked.
"Well what can I say.... I an quite persuasive and sexy at the same time."
"Alright now how you did it I don't have to care about that unless ofcourse you did something illegal. Now do what you guys want to do and then sent me the recording." James instructed.
"Sure." I said and now I had the phone to myself for listening.
I listened to the recording and one thing I was now sure was that Lisa was also part time drug dealer who brought the drugs and selled it to another people and with her influence it wasn't really difficult.
Next day was Durga saptami and we had an invitation from the Menons that night as usual for dinner.
I didn't look at the case today much and instead went to Dave's house to enjoy though I wanted to go search Lisa's room once because I wanted to find any records she might have about selling drugs.
That night something extraordinary happened which I really didn't expect. I did felt it was too soon but I really didn't care anymore.
Dave proposed me for marriage. It was indeed really soon for me but I accepted it because no matter what he was the first person ever I fell for and I always have been that one man kinda girl. It was either that somebody proposed me to marry or my parents look for a perfect suitor but I really hoped that guy would be some family friend or a person I knew and believed and Dave was really a package of everything.
My parents were really happy and so was Dave's father. I bet Aunt Lucy would be too if she knew.
We did talk a lot about our marriage ceremony which was supposed to happen in a very sequential manner. During that talk Uncle Brian by mistake took out the topic of his girls and said "Dear be careful, I think our house has a curse on the girls of the house."
"Dad, I am sure Mom's murderer would be unmasked soon." Dave said to uncle Brian.
"Murder!!!?" Uncle Brian shouted and my parents were shocked too.
Dave opened it up basically ripped the band aid off but was it the right time to say this? And what about the right way?.... let's continue reading.
