You must be thinking how do we know a big industrialist, well answer is simple. Our Grandfathers were best friends which passed down in line with my father and uncle Brian being friends. This best friend's tradition broke with the fact that I just knew them and studied with them.
We were off course called to the funeral and I was ordered to come back home fast but the wedding was too big to be missed so, I went while thinking about my 13 days of vegetarian life. No offence to vegetarians but I just love eating non veg.
I reached my venue and started clicking photos to send then to Linda and Sandy for creation of wedding albums. I was the best photographer in the town so I was normally busy but today because of aunty Lucy I had to be done fast and let Linda and Sandy to work.
I reached the funeral and it seemed really sad. I found my parent with uncle Brian so I went there too for condolences.
"Uncle Brian?"
"Ana, My dear come welcome."
My father looked at me and gave me an angry stare because I brought my camera which he strictly said no to.
"I know but I am coming directly from the job that is why the camera is still in my hand." I said because I understood that he was about to ask that so why not just tell him even before he asks.
He sighed and looked away. He very well knew that it is useless to say anything to me because I am simply gonna ignore it.
"It is okay, completely fine." Uncle Brian said.
That is when everybody's gaze turned to the door. I turned back to see who it was.
A man entered with amazing looks. He was wearing a white kurta, no special hairstyle it was just his normal washed hairs.
His eyes were lightest shades of Brown with a little mixture of grey that color is not unique in foreign areas but it is very unique in India.
He calmly without any expressions walked towards us.
"Son." Uncle Brian called him.
Yes, It was THE DAVE MENNON. He came back from receiving an award. Whatever happened with him is so sad that I hope nobody has to live through it. It was a happy moment for him and believe it or not, whenever we receive something, we first come running to our mom for showing it and he got such a big recognition but here his mom was dead.
His handsome face was shining with glory but was also down by the sad news.
"Dad." He came near his dad and touched his foot for blessings and ofcourse my father was looking at me with his angry stare because he was sooooo good boy and I was well….me.
"Dear ana?" Uncle Brian called my name.
"Yes, Uncle Brian?"
"I know this is not really a right time but thinking of everything I say you click photographs of my son and the prize that he received and make a frame for it. I don't think Lucy would have appreciated if this dream of his is not hung on the wall." Uncle Brian said
Dave was clearly not agreeing but I highly doubt his father was giving him an option.
I and Dave went outside to click photographs. We knew each other and the thing that I never knew was that Dave had always had a crush on me. So we bonded quite well that time.
Dave took me inside and showed me his mother's room. We sat there and kept talking. We both were sitting on the bed and talking. I stood up for some reason but hit my head in a cabinet and a medicine fell down of that cabinet.
"Hey!! Are you okay?" He asked me as he tried to see if I was hurt.
My eyes fell on the medicine that fell down. I couldn't believe my eyes.
"Is that a....blood thinner?"
"Yeah, it is mom's medicine. She was prescribed by by a Doctor when she was young."
"So she had to use this thinner from young?"
"As far as I have seen her, she always used to take the thinner."
"Hmmm" I don't know why but something felt off here.
why do you think Ana has a feeling of something being off here? Do you think it is a foul play here? Continue reading to find out.
