The academy had brought some cultivation resources for Clifford, the resources were delivered to Miss Lily's office so Clifford left his hostel to get the resources from Miss Lily. When he got to the shadow school's building, he left for her office, he entered and he saw her sitting down on the floor with her legs crossed and her eyes closed. A silver mist was around her, she was completely shrouded with this silver mist. Clifford took a closer look at her and he realized she wasn't sitting, she was floating few inches above the floor and she seemed to be in deep mental cultivation. He didn't want to disturb her so he decided to leave quietly.
"Stay," Miss Lily said to Clifford when he was about to open the door, she had noticed his presence a long time ago, even before he entered the building, this was one of the special abilities of a shadow mage. When a shadow mage becomes strong to a certain extent, they would be able to detect even the slightest movement within a specific range. "Come cultivate beside me," she said. Clifford didn't reject the offer, he sat beside her, crossed his legs, closed his eyes and started to cultivate as well.
He had already broken through to the intermediate rank but he was yet to stabilize his power, moreover, he had to spend more time on cultivating. The higher he ascends the magic ranks the more difficult it would be to advance to another rank. The moment Clifford started to cultivate, the silver mist shrouding Miss Lily, shrouded him too. Immediately the mist covered him, his mind and body became completely relaxed, his body was also lifted a few inches above the floor. He opened his mind and he started to meditate the contents in the scroll, he was now able to comprehend four more chapters making it six chapters that he had comprehended. He began to meditate the seventh chapter, this chapter was too difficult for Clifford to comprehend, he had spent twelve hours on it but he was only able to understand four words from the chapter.
Even though he had only comprehended four words from the seventh chapter, he gained more insight into magic and his powers increased by leaps and bounds again, he immediately broke through to the fourth stage of the intermediate rank. The four words he had comprehended from the seventh chapter held great amount of magical power than the previous six chapters. Clifford was astounded by this, if only four words of this chapter could contain such great power, then how powerful would he be when he had completely comprehended the whole chapter.
He suppressed his excitement and he continued to meditate on the chapter, after he had studied it for six days without stopping, he was able to comprehend twelve words making it sixteen words in total. His insight into magic improved drastically and he was on brink of breaking through to be an advanced ranked mage, he suppressed it as usual to avoid suspicion, if it was known to the public that he was this powerful, it would cause a massive uproar. He doesn't want unnecessary attention right now, this was why he kept suppressing his breakthrough.
He was now powerful enough to take on mages that are four stages above him, his power had greatly surpassed Feng Xin's power, he was steps ahead of his peers in terms of cultivation, comprehending ability and control of mana. His ability was just too frightening.
He finally stopped cultivating and opened his eyes, he had spent six days on a spot, his body was cramped and it was restricting his movement, he had never spent so much time meditating. From now on, he would even had to spend more time on cultivation. He stretched his body, did a few fitness movements so as to lessen the cramps in his joints. He was busy doing these movements when Miss Lily entered.
"You're so lazy, I thought you'd spent at least two weeks cultivating," she said while she took a sip of the hot coffee she was holding.
"Two weeks?" Clifford was astounded, this teacher wanted him to spend at least two weeks on cultivation, he already thought he had done a good job by cultivating for that few days. "It's not an easy feat to cultivate for six days," he bragged.
"Six days my foot! You cultivated for just three days,"
"I was conscious of the time I used to cultivate, it was six days," Clifford argued. Anybody seeing the teacher and student arguing would thought they were both peers.
"Hahahahahaha," Miss Lily bursted into laughter, there was coffee in her mouth so she spewed it on her chest, she quickly grabbed a face towel from her desk and used it to clean the mess. Her stunning breasts were half exposed when she was cleaning it, they jiggled when she wiped off the coffee. Clifford's eyes almost popped out of his sockets when he saw the magnificent sight, his little brother beneath trembled slightly to confirm his excitement, he quickly looked away.
"Ohh! Sorry," Miss Lily apologized, after she was done cleaning herself, she continued talking. "You don't seem to know anything," she walked up to him, grabbed his ears and pinched them.
"Ouch," Clifford groaned softly.
"That silver mist you saw when you saw me cultivating was a spell of the space element."
"Space element? You're a space element mage?" Clifford was shocked, Miss Lily possessing two rare and powerful elements is too frightening, "she would be crazily strong," he thought. He had never seen a space element mage before, but he heard numerous times that the chance of awakening the power of space element is even rarer than the shadow element.
"Yes, I am a space element mage," Miss Lily said proudly while she poised like a proud peacock.
"That's fucking incredible," Clifford wished he would be able to awaken the space element in the future. "So what's the use of that silver mist?" He asked her.
"Time flows slower in my spatial mist by a rate of 2:1, meaning, when you cultivate for one hour in the mist, only thirty minutes has passed in the normal time, cultivate for two days in it and only a day would've passed in normal time." She explained carefully to Clifford.
"Wow!" Clifford was astounded, "that's really incredulous, so I spent six days in your spatial mist while only three days had passed," he finally understood.
"Exactly," Miss Lily nodded. "Time flows slower the more powerful we become," she explained again. "I need to improve my spatial ability, it's lagging behind. I'm too fucking lazy." She slapped her forehead.
"Haha," Clifford chuckled slightly, "turns out you're lazier."
"Shut the hell up,"
"Okay ma'am," Clifford shut his mouth, but he was trying hard to restrict himself from laughing out loud.
Miss Lily wanted to walk away, but she tripped, "I fucking hate these high heels," she angrily removed the high heeled shoes and threw them to one corner of her office. Clifford was amused at how funny and childish she behaved, he couldn't hold his laughter anymore, his loud laughter reverberated throughout the whole building.
Feng Xin suddenly walked into the office, he saw Clifford laughing really hard and he saw Miss Lily sitting on her chair with her bare feet on her office desk, she seemed flustered. He shook his head while he headed out of the office.
"If you don't stop laughing, I'll give your resources to Feng Xin," she threatened Clifford. Clifford immediately brought his laughter to an abrupt end.
