Arthur Leywin POV
As we reintroduced ourselves. They have different expressions on their faces. Some of them have shocked, some have a neutral face, and excited.
"So you are the captain." Claire said as she examined me and nodded her head in satisfaction.
"I couldn't disagree with that, seeing your core stage is higher than mine. And you already unlocked your deviances, and even Theo was defeated easily. I admit you really fit to be the captain." Claire said as, the others nodded their heads. The door of the room were pushed open, and Tess enter and greeted us.
"Good morning everyone."
"Good morning Ms, President." The others responded, And she nodded her head.
"Art, have you guys finished your introductions? We will start in thirty minutes." She said, as those who didn't know our connection toward each other were shocked.
"Yeah. We already finished our introductions. You can start whenever you like we're ready. And Tess tell the director that, we are waiting for our new schedules." I replied as she nodded her head and left.
After she left the room. They all looked at me, as if asking for an explanation.
"What happened to your plan, to act like you didn't know each other? Why are you calling each other on nickname?" Caera asked confused at our behaviors.
"Why are you even asking Caera. You know how Arthur works, he couldn't do the things he planned." Noah said as he shake his head.
"Wait, how did you know each other? And you are calling each other by nickname!" Theodore asked while the others nodded their heads waiting for an answer.
"Well. My rival here, is the first ever disciple Elder Virion had. So he met Princess Tessia when he train, and we also met because of that." Feyrith explained as the others nodded their heads in understanding.
"Now as Tess said. The announcement will start soon, so we should all get ready. And we will spar against each other later, to test ourselves."I said as they all agreed. I stretch my hand in the middle as Claire understand what I meant.
"Now, now! I'm excited as to what this semester will bring us! We're going to be a team from now on, guys! We'll get lots of chances to bond and get closer, so look forward to it!" Claire piped up in a cheery voice as she puts her hand on top of mine.
The others also follow, As Noah placed his hand on top of caera. Sylvie ran towards us and jumped on Noah, she then ran down from Noah's arm and placed her paw in as well.
Theodore put his massive hand on top of Sylvie's hand, making the whole circle stumble a step forward. As Theodore gave a silent nod, Claire gave us a big, confident smile and shouted, "TO US! THE DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE!"
"AYE!"
"Before the club rush commences, the student council would like to formally introduce to you, the students of this academy, a group that was personally picked by the director in hopes to resolve and prevent disputes amongst students as well as enforce penalizing measures for troublemakers. While the student council's main job is to help the director make sure this academy and the events held run smoothly, this group's job allows them to use magic appropriately to uphold the peace and safety of students, whether against other students or trespassers. Please join me in welcoming the disciplinary committee!" Tessia's voice rang at her last words.
The auditorium filled with applause as the red curtains we stood behind were raised. We stood there, shoulders square and hands glued to our sides. I had to admit that with people like Curtis with Grawder behind him, Theodore, Claire and even Feyrith, we were an impressive sight in our color-coordinated uniforms.
I took a peek at Tessia and I realized she was staring at me but as soon as our eyes met, she quickly turned her head away. As we stood in front of the students of Xyrus on the stage, side by side, we pulled out our knives and held them out in front of us so the insignia showed. Unsheathing our knives, we proceeded to do a small, choreographed routine before saluting the crowd.
"Greetings as the President announced, we are the newly formed committee called the Disciplinary Committee. Our duty is to maintain peace and order in our academy, and put those spoiled behavior of yours in the right place. Lastly the members of our committee is chosen by their strengths. So if you guys have a problem feel free to challenge us and the winner will replace us." After I finished my short speech we all headed out towards the back of the stage, leaving the crowd with mixed emotions.
For some students, the disciplinary committee meant to serve as a shackle that prohibited their spoiled behavior. For others, the disciplinary committee served as an aegis, protecting them from the threat of harm.
"You guys okay with that?" I asked looking at them.
"Of course! oh this will be exciting! We can show-off our strengths while also convincing them that we deserve our positions."Claire said enthusiastically and the others nodded.
"Yes I agree with her. Since the five of you were not from the noble family. They will think that all of you didn't deserve the positions you have. So by accepting their challenges we can show our strengths to prove it." Surprisingly Lucas said this. And once again we are all shocked because this was coming from him. Who think commoner are someone similar to a bug.
"Lucas is right remember what happened last night? I'm sure they were not the only noble brats in this school." Noah said. Then he looked at Elijah. "By the way Elijah, what happened to Charles and jack after we left?"
After hearing Noah's question Elijah shuddered for a moment. While the others were shocked after hearing it.
"W-wait you guys have something to do in that incident?" Doradrea questioned us.
"Yeah. We are eating at that time when Charles and his lackey interrupted us and start mocking Arthur. But Noah dragged Ellie and I leaving Arthur and Elijah there, so we didn't know what happened next." Caera replied as she looked at Doradrea. " You guys know what happened?"
Doradrea laughed at this, the others also started laughing after hearing this.
"So you guys are the one who did that. Charles and jack couldn't be seen in the campus after that. We suspect they left the academy for the meantime." Curtis said laughing.
"So what happened?" Ellie asked Curtis.
"I think it's a thing little girls like you shouldn't know. And your brother will agree with that." Claire replied for Curtis while Ellie pouted.
"The academy just started yesterday. You already make something like that I'm sure this semester will be fun." Doradrea said as she calmed down.
"Yeah, this will be fun." I said as we all nodded our heads.

After we left to attend our classes. Noah, Caera, Elijah, Ellie, and I all had the same class to attend, the Fundamental of magic theory.
As we walkthrough the hallway we could hear the constant murmurs and whispers around us.
As we near the room of our class. I can see a group of students with a battle mage uniform waiting for us and leaning on the wall.
"It seems like we had our first customer." Noah was grinning at the sight.
We walked and as expected the student stopped us.
"Wait a minute! You said that if we defeated you we can replace your positions. It's true right?" He asked looking at me. I checked his core, and I can see he had a ligh-red stage.
"Yes." As he heard my confirmation he grinned. And looked at Ellie smugly.
"I applied to be part of the DC but I was rejected. I couldn't accept it if a little girl like you enter the committee. What's more you are just a filthy commoner while I'm a pure blooded noble." Their leader said as he mocked Ellie.
The four of us looked at each other. And I can see all of us were thinking the same thing.
This boy picked the wrong enemy.
"My name is Jamiel Tridant, a third-year battle mage student. And the heir of the house Tridant, I challenge you for a duel." The leader that was known as Jamiel challenge Ellie for a duel.
"I accept the duel." Ellie said as she put her hand on her badge. " I Eleanor Leywin challenge Jamiel Tridant for a duel."
"I Jamiel Tridant accept the duel." As the both of them glow. A barrier erupted and his lackey started cheering for their Boss.
Many of the students who was passing by also stopped to watch the duel unfold.
I'm thankful that this hallway was large, so it's okay if the both of them fight here. The problem is who will deal the aftermath, becaus we will be late for our class if we do it by ourselves.
I put my hand on the insignia of the sheath of the knife I have. The director told me what this knife can do but, I didn't tell them about this yet but, I'm sure Claire know what this thing can do. By doing this I can notify the others that we need some help here.
As I finished calling Claire and the others. I watched the two of them took a fighting stance.
Jamiel with his gauntlet, while Ellie with her fist.
"You aren't going to take out a weapon? Wait do you even have one?" Jamiel mocked as his lackey laughed.
"I have one. But my fist is enough to deal with someone like you." Ellie replied.
"You! You dare to belittle the heir of the house Tridant!" He roared as he charged forward, while aiming his fist at Ellie face.
"Ellie already won this battle." Caera sighed.
"Yeah. To think he will fall for that simple words. And charge recklessly he is full of opening for what he did." Noah shake his head
Yeah he's full of opening. Ellie can end this battle with one hit.
Ellie lowered her stance and dashed forward meeting Jamiel head on. She avoided Jamiel fist and brought her fist on Jamiel face, sending him flying away and landed on the ground. And the barrier disappeared signifying the duel is over.
The students clapped their hands in awe, as they saw a little girl send a fifteen-year old flying.
The lackeys quickly rushed to help their leader. One of them is an idiot for taking out his wand and start casting a spell.
Before he could've finish his spell. Metal string emerge out of nowhere and tied him up. We then hear a familiar voice echoed.
"Attacking a student outside the sanctioned of the duel is prohibited, your targeting the DC officers nonetheless. Kai, Theo, Curtis cuff them up." Claire ordered as the three started working immediately.
"To think we have someone to challenge us after the announcement." Claire chuckled.
"Yeah. And they targeted Eleanor. Probably thinking that she was an easy target since she is a child and only a dark-red stage." Elijah shake his head.
"And he's an idiot!" Noah chuckled.
"Anyway, we will leave them in your care we have to go. Or we will be late for our class." I said as Claire nodded her head.
I and the others enter the room, we arrived immediately since we were stopped near our room. And we also saw our professor was about to enter.
We quickly enter the room. As we hear once again the constant murmurs and whispers about us. And the professor also entered after us.
Our professor seemed pretty young—at most, in his mid-thirties. He had well-parted brown hair that he kept neat and styled. His face was freshly shaven to reveal a narrow jaw. He was on the thinner side, but in no ways out of shape. His proportions were good for a conjurer, which I could tell by the wand strapped to his side.
Using the folder he was holding as a gavel, he thumped it on the front podium before speaking. "Now, now… I realize that there are many wonderful things to talk about, but you guys aren't very good at gossiping. If the person of topic is in the same room and can hear what you are saying, then it really isn't gossip now, is it?" He looked in my direction and gave me a wink, making me shake my head in defeat.
Some of the students gossiping shrank down in embarrassment but most of the students just laughed.
"My name is Professor Avius and I must say that it's great to meet you all. While this is technically a basic class and some may think that it is unnecessary, I, on the other hand, believe this class is the foundation for what will make you a great mage. We won't be doing much casting but there will be fun assignments and projects that I will assign along the way, so look forward to it!"
The class started with him questioning us what's the difference between an augmenter and conjurer and who is better. And the class erupted on a debate, as I shake my head as I hear their answers.
The professor then started explaining the both of them and I can see Elijah writing everything. Maybe he found this lesson meaningful since he almost used two pages of his notebook.

The bell rang signifying that the class is over and we left our room. We will be attending different classes for now. As we wave our hand to each others as a goodbye.
My next class is called Practical mana manipulation. When I arrived to my next class, I noticed that the layout of this room was very different. It was shaped like a miniature arena, with a battling platform in the middle, encased in a barrier field, and rows of seats circling around it.
I made my way to a random spot and sat down. 'I'm hungry,' Sylvie grumbled as she began impatiently thumping her head on top of mine. 'Yeah, me too; lunch is still a bit away though, do you want to go and catch something?' Sylvie nodded and scurried off at a speed that startled me. She was surprisingly fast when it came to food.
"May I sit here." A familiar voice said and as I turn my head, I saw the princess of the Sapin standing.
"Sure." I said as I move aside allowing her to sit.
"Thank you."
"My rival, I didn't expect to see you in the same class." Feyrith said as he also sat beside me.
"You're awfully louder than you are for your normal day. What happened?" I asked as he smiled.
"Didn't the announcement earlier excite you? You were the one who lead us and you weren't excited like me." He asked, but before I could respond the door was pushed open.
"While it is a bit late into the morning, it is still technically the morning so…Good morning!" A rather upbeat, bulky man wearing a light armor clapped to get everyone's attention. He looked more like a low-class adventurer instead of a professor but when I inspected his mana core level, I was surprised to see that he was light yellow stage.
He examined the class with lust in his eyes. The others couldn't see but the three of us can. His gaze land on Kathyln and he gaze to her full of lust. The three of us were disgusted but we hold it in, since the others didn't noticed it. And if we take action immediately, The students may think we're thinking too much.
"Disgusting." Feyrith said disgustingly in low voice, only enough for the three of us to hear.
"Well, we have quite the crowd of students. I know my class is always popular but I'm honored to have this many students! My name is Professor Geist. Welcome ladies and gents, and welcome DC officers. It is a privilege to have you in my class." I couldn't tell whether he was being sarcastic or not when he directed his little welcome at us. I smiled knowing we will have a chance to teach him a lesson.
"Feyrith, Kathyln. If this professor challenge us for a duel I will be the one to fight him." I said as Feyrith asked me.
"Why? Why not let me to deal with him?"
"It's to risky for you to do it. He is at the light-yellow stage, while you're only at the Dark-yellow stage. And we don't know his elemental attributes, so if I was the one to fight him I can adjust with my dual attributes. And we need to humiliate him, and knowing you, if you are the one to fight him you would end the duel as fast you can." I Said as they nodded their heads.
"This is Practical Mana Manipulation, or PMM as I like to call it. That means we will be doing things very practically! Practically, in my definition, means through example, because what better way to learn than through hands-on experience, right?" His deep bass voice boomed throughout the class.
"I understand that most of you are first-years and that many of you have just awakened not too long ago. However, parents have been more and more dedicated in teaching their children as soon as they awaken before they even send them here, so even that assumption is mostly inaccurate. However, for the sake of equality, I shall assume that every first year is a beginner in mana manipulation, of course with the few exceptions, i.e. the three sitting right there." He pointed to the three of us while giving us a wink, drawing attention to us from everyone inside the room.
"I'm sure everyone, including myself, is curious as to what sort of level in ability our newly formed DC has. They are the ones that are going to be protecting the students here in this academy after all, right?" Several shouts of agreement spawned from around the room.
Feyrith and I, grinned at his actions.
"Well, what can you expect from a thug." Feyrith said in low voice while shaking his head.
"If you insist. I can volunteer myself for this little demonstration of yours." I said standing up from my sit, Feyrith also doing the same so I can go out. I make my way to the arena as the other students were looking at me.
"Oh the captain of the DC. I didn't expect for you to volunteer yourself." He said and I can feel him checking my core.
I didn't guard my core that much since I was using a concealer anyway. So I'm sure he can see I'm at the light-yellow stage like him.
I saw his eyes widen in shock but quickly composed himself.
I arrived at the middle of the arena and stand opposite him. With 5-meter distance between us.
Professor Geist POV
As I saw the Captain of the DC stand up and walked towards the middle of the arena. I couldn't help but smiled, 'it's easier than I thought. I thought it will take some time before the DC volunteered. To think they will fall for it easily, he's the captain nonetheless.'
I examined his core, and he allowed it as if not bothering for the other see his core. My eyes widen as I saw that he and I are on the same stage.
Impossible! He looked like a twelve years old, and he already at the light-yellow stage? Maybe he drink too much elixir that his family provided, and reached yellow core at his age. Yeah! That's it!
Since he was an augmenter I took out my two swords from my ring.
"Since you're still a student, I will let you choose if I will use a sword or not. So I can have a reason if I lose." I said winking at the other students to make them laugh.
Lose? Against this brat? That will never happen.
"It doesn't matter." He replied.
"I insist."I said.
"Then please go with what you're more confident in." He took a couple steps forward, my face still peering deep into him, studying his every movement and action.
This cocky brat! Very well you bring disaster upon yourself. I started setting up the barrier, after I finished, I grip both of my swords with my hands.
"And what about you? Why don't you take out your weapon?" I asked trying to calm myself a bit.
"I will not use any. I don't need a weapon against someone like you anyway." He said looking at me smugly.
That's it! This brat is a dead meat!
"Cocky Brat!"
