"You know what? We all need like superhero names, you know. We have different powers, so we need a name rather than just aliases," Varun said.
"Sounds interesting," Manasie said.
"Mine is War Queen surely, even when a psycho gave it to me," Kara said.
"Mine could be something like ice queen," Magpie said.
"Whoa, hold up there Elsa, that seat is taken. You could be something like Winter Cadet," Varun said.
"I realise why you did that," Kara said nodding her head.
"All I have is Nightrale," Nightrale said.
"Does that name even have meaning?" Varun asked.
"Yes," Magpie said.
"The name was given to the star because stars are immortal. And that is what the name means 'immortal'. Or roughly, not mortal, or no end, something without an end," Manasie said.
"Cool and for your name according to power could be something like Metal-bond," Varun suggested.
"Average," Manasie said.
"You need a new name, rather than H.O.D.. Or Harbinger of death," Kara laughed.
"Yeah… sounds more like a long forgotten joke," Manasie said.
"They did me wrong with the name," Varun took a deep breath and nodded.
"There is no other name though, is there?" Kara asked.
"Neither do we have other names," Alias said.
"Ok, dropping the naming section then," Varun sighed.
"Psycho was wrong," Harun said hurrying into the throne room.
"What do you mean?" Varun asked.
"There is no energy or no possible way to differentiate it. And I'm sure that it is no energy, but it is something else and connected to him specifically," Harun said.
"Is there no other way?" Varun asked, frowning.
"Well, I wasn't surely finished about it. Psycho said he blocked your teleportation by using his Makeshift in some way I do not completely understand. So, I could come nearer to crack it if I were to get your stone-gem. That way, you can teleport with the gem and use your armour even on Earth," Harun said.
"Ok, better addition. I'll come with you," Varun said walking up to Harun.
***
Varun was sitting on a bed, in a room, alone and facing a wall. The room's door was closed, as he was still on the 'keeping the face identity' as a secret.
There was a knock on the door suddenly, after what looked like an hour but was ten minutes after Harun left Varun alone in the room, after taking the gem off.
"It's me," Manasie said from outside the door.
"I'm not in my armour," Varun said audibly loud.
"Big surprise, I saw your face before," Manasie said.
"Fine," Varun sighed.
Varun got up from the bed and went up to the door, unlocking it.
"I lied; I couldn't see your face properly before, but now I do. You don't look that good though, my time wasted," Manasie giggled.
"Didn't ask how I look," Varun sighed and went back to the bed and sat.
"Right," Manasie said and walked in, closing the door behind.
"You saw my face, now what?" Varun scoffed.
"That wasn't my goal, but a way to try and make you smile, grumpy," Manasie sighed.
"Not in the mood for that," Varun said.
"Are you alright?" Manasie asked.
"I'll be fine, you can go. Just missing my friends," Varun said.
"Well, I can understand your worry. But they will be fine, unlike your one friend who didn't get the Trigon," Manasie said.
"That one, yes," Varun laughed, remembering Fara.
"Close to her…?" Manasie asked.
"Yeah, especially her… Well actually everyone though," Varun said.
"Yeah, I understand," Manasie said.
"The other girls close to you?" Varun asked.
"Well, we did meet like a year ago. But, not much, it just feels more like a one month friendship even now," Manasie said.
"I get that… some friendships do stop at a month for a long time. But sometimes that's the best extent it goes to," Varun snickered.
"Not like that. I mean, just recently we knew what we are. And Nightrale technically is a two month friend. I guess after her, everything actually started," Manasie said.
"How did you meet them?" Varun asked.
"Well, I met them in second PUC. They were from Pluto and stuff so we hung out. But, there wasn't much more to that until recently. All it was, was being alien," Manasie said.
"Yeah… some things do need a point of start. Otherwise it'll be just what it was before," Varun said.
"Yeah, something like that," Manasie said.
"And outside here…?" Varun asked.
"Well, technically you and the other two guys are from outside. Except that, I have few on Leishank, just nice I could say. And few dragons, but we never met after the first and last time," Manasie said.
"Oh…" Varun said.
"Yeah, this is the closest I've to a team," Manasie said.
"I guess we never really introduced properly. My name is Varunadri Reddy. And by saying that, I probably lost one friend right now," Varun said.
"Wow, Varunadri Reddy, the harbinger of death," Manasie said mockingly.
"Can't decide which is worse, can you?" Varun asked.
"I guess we'll just stick to calling you Varun," Manasie laughed.
"Yeah… how about 'prophecy hero'?" Varun asked.
"Too obvious," Manasie said.
"Well, the face of the prophecy hero is totally not obvious," Varun scoffed.
"Does that still bother you? Being supposed to stop some crisis you just heard of?" Manasie asked.
"A little bit and a lot afraid," Varun said.
"There must be a reason, that you are the one. Everything happens for a reason. This might not be about the actual Rahambose we all know even, but something big, who knows? You weren't even close to any of this, but suddenly you are now. So, you need to think what it could be. There could be something which only you alone can figure, that is why you were chosen. Whatever it is, it'll show and only you can take action," Manasie said.
"Makes things easier to look at," Varun scoffed.
"Well, yes, but it is true when you think of it," Manasie said.
"When you think of it, everything in this world… makes utterly no sense at all," Varun said.
"Oh come on. Why so pessimistic?" Manasie sighed.
"Actually, that was a pun. One way for my self-coping mechanism," Varun said.
"They seem more like lame jokes rather than puns," Manasie said.
"And you mocking, is shockingly boring and dumb," Varun said.
"Well then you clearly mean that my mocking represents you then," Manasie said.
"How dare you? If you weren't a girl, I would've slapped you," Varun said.
"Why, are you afraid to do it? No balls to hit a girl, is it?" Manasie asked.
"Why do we always end up fighting?" Varun asked.
"Oh come on, this is not called fighting. It's called being silly and telling lame things and showing how comfortable we are by doing so," Manasie said.
"Same difference, just won't say that long of a sentence that's it," Varun said.
"Well, bear with it, this is how it is fixed between us and will continue," Manasie said.
"Not soothing enough," Varun said.
"Need a slap? That might soothe you," Manasie said.
"Life threats are scary, not sarcastic," Varun implied.
"Well, what are you an ant to die from a slap?" Manasie asked.
"Back to page hundred and thirty-four," Varun sighed.
"Your references are complex and weird," Manasie stated.
"Bear with it," Varun said.
Both looked at each other with a straight face and burst out laughing.
"Thanks… for making me happy or something," Varun said, looking at the floor.
"Well, anytime. It sure is good to scold everything out on you," Manasie said.
"Was delightful for a moment there," Varun said under his breath, and Manasie softly giggled.
"Look, however bad the situation could be. If you want to talk of it, you can. I'm here for you, ok?"
"Thanks…"
Manasie just smiled and got up, going towards the door. Just then there was a knock at the door and Manasie opened the door. It was Harun with the stone-gem in his hand.
"Oh, Lady Manasie, you are here, am I at the wrong place?" Harun said and looked inside.
"No… I just came to talk to him," Manasie said.
"And he let you in? That is a very big surprise. To show me his face, he wanted me to sign a document saying that I wouldn't reveal his face to anyone and let my data get hacked and let into villains' hands. And if he ever died in the future for that reason, I would be the cause," Harun said.
"Even that was a secret. I trusted you, man!" Varun said in a sad tone.
"I fooled him into believing that I had already seen his face. When he let me in, I told him the truth," Manasie said.
"Ah… great move, I could have tried that on the little kid. Which totally is not you, Varun," Harun said.
"Let us go back to where you used to refer to me as Master Varun," Varun said.
"Varun already has grown on me. Which also sounds awkward out loud," Harun said.
"Well, you people can go ahead with your legal issues," Manasie said.
"Can we play a game of signing papers?" Varun asked.
"Just lame jokes, just lame jokes," Manasie told to herself, closing her eyes.
"Anyways, I have found a way to get you back to Earth, Varun," Harun said.
"Great, anytime now," Varun said.
"Be ready Lady Manasie, to you know what," Harun said, Manasie nodded, understanding what he meant.
