"Dad?" As soon as Jessie finished speaking quietly, she dropped to the ground. Fortunately, Din caught her as she passed out in his arms.
"Get me some water, please!" Din shouted, and the waiter quickly arrived with a bowl of water. Jessie opened her eyes wide as soon as Din splashed some on her face. While dropping the bowl to the ground, he gave her a tight hug. "Don't ever do that again." He said. "You scared me."
"I'm sorry." She said to him as he let her out of the hug, and Jessie directed her attention back to the door. The man stood there staring at her as their eyes locked.
"Daddy." He was holding a young child who tugged at his hand to get his attention, but the man was focused on Jessie. "Daddy, do you know her?" He asked.
Din picked Jessie up off the ground, and she made her way slowly over to the man. She gave a furious headshake. "W–what are you doing here?"
