"I can obviously hear you, Miss Walker, but could we at least discuss this tomorrow?" Din asked. "You are welcome to come to my place of business. They will let you in since I will inform them that you will be visiting, so don't worry."
"I'm unconcerned about anything. I'm not sure why you're doing it, but I need a divorce and to resume my normal life after that."
Din sighed as he spoke on the phone. "This phone you are using to speak to me will receive my company's address. You can meet me there between 10 and 12 p.m. During that time, I did not have a client. We can converse over a cup of coffee. My coworker brews the best coffee." He smirked.
Jessie was on the verge of yelling over the phone, but she kept her cool. Who gives a damn about coffee? She simply desired a goddamn divorce and the freedom to live her life as she pleased.
Din was worried that she would be able to divorce him or take him to court if he refused to do it. At least not at the moment. He still has his grandfather's business to take over. After he is done with that then, she can go her own way, and he'll leave her alone as well.
"I have to leave right now and make sure you show up tomorrow if you truly want to be free of me." When he hung up, his grin was still on his face.
He tossed the phone on the sofa and took a deep breath. His gaze darted around the huge living area once more. He has to ensure that his strategy to keep Jessie as his wife was successful. At the very least, he has to please his grandfather.
He had no idea what it was about Jessie that drew his grandfather to a girl like her. She was undeniably attractive, ten, and seductive. He remembered how he couldn't get away from her scent at the club that night. Every time they were together, she drew him closer to her.
He didn't understand why he felt that way, but he knew he despised her.
After some time on the sofa, he got up and retrieved his phone before returning to the room. Beth was still comfortably sleeping when he arrived. He walked over to his bed and gently placed his phone on the nightstand before laying down. He didn't want to disturb Beth's sleep. She would interrogate him and bring up the topic he had sought to avoid previously. He was not in the mood to respond.
All he needs to do now is make sure Jessie's meeting goes well. He'd looked up everything he needed to know about her. She was a woman in need of money who also had a music career to sustain. She had told him at the club that she was a nightclub singer.
If she wanted all of that to happen, she'd have to stay in the marriage, and he'd have to make sure she accepted his arrangement, no matter how much money he had to offer just to keep her.
Din closed his eyes and attempted to cleanse his head of Jessie's appearance.
He hadn't anticipated how quickly the morning had passed. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted by Beth, who was still sleeping next to him. It was a relief to him that he hadn't had the nightmare about his parents in a long time.
Beth had no idea he had that episode every time, and he had no intention of telling her. He doesn't want his difficulties to bother the woman he loves.
As he watched Beth sleep soundly, he grinned. As she slept, her beautiful lashes and exquisitely formed face stared back at him.
Din sat and watched her for a few moments before getting out of bed and getting ready for work. As he came out of the restroom to dry himself up, all he could think about was his rendezvous with Jessie.
"Good morning," she said. He approached Beth and kissed her on the forehead.
"You're on your way to work. Already?" As she flipped her eyelids open, Beth's sluggish voice spoke.
"It's already 8:15," On his wrist, he adjusted his wristwatch.
As she sat up, Beth exclaimed, "Already?"
Din smiled and nodded. "What's the matter? Is there something important?" he inquired.
Beth leapt out of bed and dashed to the bathroom. She sat down to pee before speaking. "Mother told me to get to the office as soon as possible today. I have to be there by 11:00 a.m."
Din laughed. "Calm down, it's still eight o'clock."
"You do not understand." Before exiting the restroom, Beth stood up and flushed the toilet. "I take my time getting ready. Before you know it, it's 11:30 and I'm still not done."
"Then go take a bath and get ready if that's the case."
"I'm going to do it." She let go of her nightgown's hand, and it slid off her body and onto the ground. As she walked away from the cloth and leaned in to pick it up, Din could see her bare torso.
"You're enticing me once more." He remarked this as he tried but failed to resist her.
"I've come to do just that." She drew nearer to him. She stroked his chin with her finger. "How about staying at home today? I guarantee you won't regret it."
"I know, but I have to get to work. I have to see this very important client."
"Are you sure I'm not important?" Beth took a step back and removed the overhand from his chin.
"You are, Mi Amor,"
"So, what's next?"
"You must also go to work and assist your mother. You made a commitment to her, and you must keep it." He stepped up to the mirror to straighten his tie.
Beth entered the bathroom and activated the shower. The door remained wide open. When Din heard the sound of the shower, he could see what she was doing in there. It was intriguing to watch her gently wash her body. Her female bottom moved as she poured fragrant soap into her hair and scrubbed it gently.
He wished he could move in with her and fuck her one last time before going to work, but he knew he couldn't. He won't be able to let go of her after he starts the lovemaking until the time passes.
"I'm leaving right now." As he snatched his suitcase from the table, he murmured. "Cleaning will be done by the maids. Make sure you have a lovely day ahead of you." He walked out of the room as soon as he said those words.
