Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

"How are the preparations for the attack?"

"Everything has been put in place, we just await your word, Sire."

A blonde man gets up from the chair and walks to the window to look at the city. "Is my cousin still on Earth?" he asked.

"Yes, Sire."

"I see," the blade man said. "Start the attack in the city mall today at 15:05, capture a few hostages, and blow up the place, soon The capital planet will be in chaos," he said.

"Of course."

Phoenix and the pink siblings decided to roam around the mall, but nothing here interested him. The only thing that truly caught his attention was the smell of food coming from the food courts.

The only other thing that caught his attention was the people in this Mall, There weren't only humans of all skin tones and races, there were also alien people, some of them were wearing masks on their faces to help them survive, and some wore full body suits so they don't die because their bodies aren't used to the region.

Their skins were different colors as well. So many different shapes and sizes as well.

"Don't you want to buy anything, since you are here?" Rosemarie asked, speaking for the first time since they were walking around.

"I haven't found anything that is of interest to me," Phoenix replies. He looks around and he sees a bunch of people wearing costumes.

He stops and points at them. "What are they doing?" he asked.

Rosemarie and Roger looked at where he was pointing and saw he was looking at cosplayers. "Oh, they are cosplayers," Roger replies.

"They look so cool, " Rosemarie said quietly.

Cosplayer? He checked his memory to see any memory of a cosplayer, the only thing on the word was Phoenix watching a few videos on the web with 'cosplayers,' as the title.

In short, according to his understanding, cosplayers are costumed people, who dress up as others for fun. Although he doesn't know why they look a bit ridiculous though.

He sees the pink-haired siblings looking at the cosplayers with wonder in their eyes. "Do you want to do that too?" he asked.

Rosemarie nods, but Roger nods her gently. "Mom would get angry if we do so," he whispered in her ear. He hears them of course.

It is nice to see children respecting their parent's wishes. "You can tell her I wanted you two to join me in doing a cosplay," he suggested. Unfortunately, however, he's the king of demons.

Roger and Rosemarie looked at each other, communicating with their eyes. "Okay," they said at the same time.

"Lovely," he said smiling and holding his hands together.

They shopped for costumes and soon they were walking around in a scout's uniform from an Earth show that came from the twenty-first century.

"This fits me so well," he said looking at the mirror and checking himself out. Why weren't mirrors invented back when he was a Demon King, he looks so good and pretty.

"It seems like your clothes," Roger said.

Phoenix nodded, grinning. "Do you want to take some pictures with them?" Rosemarie asked.

He looks at them with an eyebrow raised. 'Wouldn't getting a picture painted take a lot of time?' he thought.

Rosemarie was afraid Phoenix would say no and insult her and was about to suggest that he didn't need to do so.

She was surprised to hear Phoenix agree. "Okay, sure."

Rosemarie smiled happily and she tapped a setting on her holopad. The holopad flies out of her hand and she grabs her brother and Phoenix who looks at the holopad wondering what he should do.

He sees a flash causing him to block startled and the holopad returns to Rosemarie's hand, who shows the both of them the picture that was taken.

He looks at the screen and sees himself blinking, then gets a bit upset. "I blinked let's try again," he demanded.

Rosemarie agreed that they should take another photo, he looked so stiff and set the camera again.

This time around he smiles brightly and copies the long-haired siblings' poses.

This picture was a whole lot better. "What of individual photos?" Roger said and Rosemarie agreed while Phoenix shrugged.

They spent ten minutes taking pictures of each other and he learned a new thing. Taking pictures is an art and a lifestyle if it isn't good, then it is a no, no. If it is good then it is a thumbs up.

"I'm going to post this on my page and send it to my friends," Roger said taking out his holopad, Rosemarie nodded as she did the same.

They both turned to Phoenix who was watching what they were doing and Roger said, "Give us your contact information so we can send the pictures to you to send to your friends and post on your page."

Contact information? "Okay," he replies immediately searching his memories for contact information, when he finds the right one, he immediately begins to recite his contact information.

His holopad vibrates and he checks to see that the pictures have already been sent. "Thank you," he said.

He's supposed to post this on his page and send them to his friends, according to his memory, he does have a page that was the one he was using yesterday to check the internet, but he doesn't have friends, the only person on his contact information is Augustus and his parents.

Maybe he should send it to Augustus. He sends it to him, and he sees that Augustus doesn't see it and frowns, he sees a button on the corner of his holopad that says call, so he taps it.

He sends the pictures he received to Augustus before posting them on his page.

Augustus was in a meeting with some of the generals residing in the capital planet in the palace's court in place of his father and older brother since neither of them was available to attend the meeting.

"The attacks are becoming more frequent around the Empire," one of the generals said.

They were discussing recent attacks that were coming from an unknown group of terrorists whose plans are unknown.

"They are getting quite a lot of resources," Augustus said, observing one of the attacks launched on one of the planets of the Empire.

"The leader must be very wealthy to be able to afford all of those weapons being used," another general said.

Augustus nods in agreement. "The only way for the leader to afford all of this is if he's someone of influence and is well known by the people," he said.

One of the generals was about to reject what Augustus said when they heard something vibrating. Augustus froze because his holopad was ringing and he felt the general's eyes in him.

He looks at his holopad to see who might be calling him, he sees 'Kitten,' as the caller.

"Hold on one minute," he said to the generals before picking up the call."

This better be good," he said, sounding a bit upset.
