Chapter 3 - System linkage

"Brother..."

"Why?" asked Indra as desperation could be seen in his eyes.

He had always had a great relationship with his brother, and he himself thought he had good judgment on people.

Never in his wildest dreams would he have believed that his brother would one day kill him.

"Did you know that? In this world there are things that should not exist," said Indra's older brother, looking up at the sky.

Then he shook his head.

"I have already told you too much, it is better that you leave now. Don't worry, you won't be alone for long, big brother will join you soon," he announced in a sad voice as he finally lowered his halberd and decapitated his little brother.

As his head fell to the ground, he could hear a few words.

"I'm sure we'll meet again someday," he murmured as tears streamed down his beautiful face.

"Your Highness..." said a rider in a low voice.

"Excuse me, Olga. Everyone we have a war to fight, so let's hurry!" he shouted in his hoarse voice.

Following his shout, the neighing of horses and the shouts of soldiers could be heard across the plains.

Finally, the existence of Indra, the greatest genius in human history, was completely extinguished.

...

"We are not in a fantasy world, this is reality and everything is allowed thanks to science."

A professor was lecturing in an amphitheater while behind him was a giant screen.

On this screen there were two images, the first a naked man seen from a side position and the second a naked man seen from the front.

"In 2250, the researcher Ivak Tryo proved that every human being has an unsuspected potential. This potential, when reached, has the main function of increasing human life expectancy considerably.

"That is why today in 5021 there are men who lived in the same era as Ivak Tryo, although these men are as rare as phoenix feathers."

"But there is more to this potential than just increased longevity."

All the students were extremely interested in what the professor was saying, as this knowledge was a key determining factor when recruiting into the army!

At that moment, a young man with a mediocre appearance raised his head.

"Big brother..." Indra murmured.

"Where the fuck am I!" he shouted mentally.

He had never seen such a room in his life.

At the same time, memories not belonging to him invaded his mind.

"Violet Academy, 5021, planet Earth, Zerg, Indra Invictus, mom, dad, Julie, Michael..."

His brain had become extremely chaotic.

A few moments later, he was able to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

"My name is Indra Invictus, as in my past life, and I have just undergone transmigration."

"It is 5021 so 3768 years have passed since my death."

"I am on Earth, the cradle of humanity however this cradle is threatened by the Zerg, a species of alien insect with little to no intelligence. They orient themselves mainly through their instincts. However, there are Zerg with intelligence not inferior to that of human military strategists ."

"Julie is my sister while Michael is my best friend."

After gathering everything together, he could sort of calm down and listen to the rest of the professor's lecture.

"Are you okay man?" whispered Mickael who was just to the right.

"Yes, don't worry," answered Indra with a smile.

"The human potential can be divided into three categories: The Makio which is an energy that runs through every human being. Efficiency in training is literally determined by the Makio. A person with more Makio will progress faster.

"It will more or less determine how long you can live. It also helps speed up your regeneration when you are injured."

"Then there is the Verra which represents the understanding of martial arts. Verra is not an energy like Makio but a brain capacity.

"And finally there is the Kyu which determines instinct in combat, the Kyu has another name: the sixth sense of the human being. These last two represent your talent in combat."

Indra listened intently, doing his best to put aside his chaotic thoughts, for according to his memory of his predecessor, the class seemed extremely important.

But only a few minutes passed when a squad of soldiers burst into the classroom.

Without courtesy, they announced directly why they were there.

"Indra Invictus, you are accused of betraying humanity and collaborating with the Zerg. Please come with us now!" a soldier in camouflage ordered in a loud and firm tone.

On his shoulder hung an emblem. The emblem had two red arrows followed by a yellow arrow.

Various exclamations were heard in the classroom.

"He's a master corporal!" shouted a young man in the class.

"To earn such a rank, one must survive at least 10 years on the battlefield and have accomplished various feats in battle!" explained a young woman who was diligent in her classes.

"And most master corporals have a combat strength of about 2 stars!" continued her neighbor with surprise.

In this world, there are no supernatural powers, only mortal humans.

"A man of his caliber really came to arrest an ordinary student?" muttered a student in the class in surprise.

"What kind of crime did this idiot Indra commit?" whispered another.

Indra did not understand, he wanted to stand up but he could not find any strength to lift his legs.

At that moment, a memory popped into his mind.

"So this is how it is..." he thought.

Since birth, a certain disease attacked his nervous system, finally at the age of 6 he lost the use of his legs completely due to the disease.

And despite the progression of technology, the costs to cure such a disease were astronomical.

His family did not have the financial ability to cure him and probably never will even if they abstain from eating for the rest of their lives.

He looked to his right and saw a small platform that was normally used for travel and could even go quite fast.

As he was about to take it to join the soldiers below, the master corporal climbed the stairs, took Indra on his shoulder as if nothing had happened and descended the stairs under the shocked eyes of everyone.

Never before had Indra experienced such indignation and helplessness. He was sure that with the strength of his former body, this kind of soldier would be nothing but cannon fodder in front of him.

Unfortunately he was now in one of the weakest bodies possible, otherwise with his memory he could still master him in 1vs1 with an ordinary body.

But the reality was that he could do absolutely nothing but leave his fate to others.

Suddenly, against all odds, a robotic voice that would change the course of his life resounded in his mind.

"What?" mentally exclaimed Indra as he didn't understand anything about what was going on.

Indra simply let himself be carried away as he was carried away by the master corporal until he was transported in a strange vehicle that was called a "flying car his memories.

He quickly sat down but did not say a word. Everything was too shocking to be dealt with directly, so he prioritized the system first.

So he didn't say a word the whole way, completely confusing the soldiers with him.

They were used to this kind of operation, and normally the kids would scream and chant that it was illegal to kidnap people and treat them this way.

Some of them even cried because the situation was completely beyond them, but this one, despite his handicap, didn't say a single word during the whole trip, but calmly looked at the landscape as if all this had nothing to do with him.

They could never have guessed that right next to them was a boy who would become the hero of humanity, the legendary Indra.
