Chereads / Indra's Rebirth / Chapter 4 - Entered into the sacred world

Chapter 4 - Entered into the sacred world

They were used to this kind of operation, and normally the kids would scream and chant that it was illegal to kidnap people and treat them this way.

Some of them even cried because the situation was completely beyond them, but this one, despite his handicap, didn't say a single word during the whole trip, but calmly looked at the landscape as if all this had nothing to do with him.

They could never have guessed that right next to them was a boy who would become the hero of humanity, the legendary Indra.

But for now he is just a cripple with a dark destiny.

"From what I understand from my predecessor, the system is an extremely powerful tool that is regularly given to those who have undergone transmigration."

"Not all systems grant the same abilities, and most of the time there is something that sets it apart from other systems."

"In my case, that would be prestige, but what is prestige? From my own experience as crown prince, prestige is literally the act of naturally commanding respect, it can also be understood as a form of natural authority over others."

"So there are two possibilities to improve it, either I increase my strength or I increase my status. Unfortunately I have no way to increase my strength with two disabled legs, so I can only increase my status.

"According to the memories of the predecessor, this is an excellent academy that ranks among the top in my region.

"Thus, I can get respect from most people in my area, which results in a point of prestige."

"Now what can I do with this prestige point?"

"It probably has to do with this holy world?"

As soon as Indra thought about the sacred world, a notification resounded in his mind:

[Are you sure you are going to enter the holy world? If so, only your mind will be teleported there while your body goes into sleep. Obviously the system will keep an eye on it, alerting the host if anyone wishes to wake it or if there is any danger].

"Yes." mentally answered Indra.

Following his answer, his mind was teleported somewhere else.

He was standing in the air, and below him there was only an empty field with a stone in the middle.

[Welcome to the sacred world, Commander.]

"Who are you?" asked Indra out of curiosity.

Anyone would be alerted by an unfamiliar voice echoing in his mind, but Indra was not affected more than that, he took things as they came.

But even after waiting a long time, nothing else could be heard.

Indra reached down and touched the stone out of curiosity.

At the same time two options appeared in his mind

[Military and Non-Military].

He selected Military out of curiosity, and two more options appeared.

[1 Star Soldier (no equipment) Cost: 1 prestige].

[Standard transport ship that can carry up to 10 soldiers. Costs 20 prestige].

Indra thought about buying the 1-star soldier since it was impossible to buy the other option.

[Confirm the purchase of a 1-star soldier (without equipment)?

"Yes.

[Confirmed purchase].

Behind the stone, a circle with strange patterns suddenly appeared.

The various lines that formed it glowed with an increasingly powerful light, as various energy particles gathered within the circle, finally forming the outline of a human figure.

A few seconds later, a man dressed in military fatigues appeared before William.

"Hello Commander!"

Indra was surprised, he had never seen such a thing with his two lives combined, and he didn't even know it was possible, but his background as a crown prince and soldier allowed him to calm down quickly.

"Nice to meet you soldier, what is your name?"

"You may call me Kira commander!" the soldier still replied respectfully.

"Okay Kira, so I'd like to know where you're from?"

"I was a private first class in the 52nd infantry regiment, 2nd company and 3rd squadron in 3982."

Seeing such an introduction Indra felt a little headache.

"But now that you are by my side won't you regret your previous life?"

"Don't worry commander, all the summoned soldiers died in their respective lives."

"And how did you die?"

"I was hit by a sulfuric plasma acid bomb during a Zerg insect bombardment on asteroid X-82"

Indra continued to ask some questions about the soldier's life for a few minutes to get more details from the system.

In the end, he didn't get any more information than the life story of the man in front of him.

So he moved on to the really serious questions.

"What makes me trust you?" Indra asked in a dry and cold tone.

Kira was not disturbed by Indra's tone, showing the discipline he received as a soldier.

"The commander doesn't have to worry about that, since you can summon us, you can naturally send us away, and sending us away would literally mean permanent death."

"Besides, if you died, then we would also die commander."

"So for you it's like I'm granting you a new life, although you'll have to fight again?" asked Indra in a softer tone.

"That's right commander."

"Second to last question, if I wish to summon you in the real world what do I need to do?"

"You must first purchase a transport ship, then this transport ship will materialize in the space closest to the planet you are on. The transport ship will land in a landing area as close as possible. But this will remain complicated because currently you are on Earth commander, and the airspace is strictly controlled. After landing I can manage, but it is easier if you give me money for a cab Commander. Material objects such as weapons will also have to go through the same process, but in the same way, since you are on Earth it will be very complicated to send you anything with a military use" Kira explained.

"Last question, to return to the sacred world how do you have to proceed?"

"There are two conditions: I must be in one of the transport ships of the holy world, and I must be in space. This way I can start the teleportation procedure, but it takes some time.

"I see, thank you for your explanation Kira, you may leave." Indra was overall satisfied because he knew that it would be too much of an overkill if his soldiers could teleport between the real world and the holy world as they wished.

But Indra realized rather quickly that there was nothing for Kira to do here, there was not even a place to eat or sleep.

A little embarrassed, Indra consulted the non-technological option to remedy this situation.

[Refectory : Building used for eating and drinking for the soldiers. Cost: Free]

[Dormitory: A building where soldiers can rest. Cost: Free!]

[Training Area: An area dedicated to improving soldiers. Cost: Free!]

[Laboratory: Various scientific research can be done here. Cost: Free!]

...

[Confirming the purchase of a canteen, dormitory, training area and laboratory?]

"Yes." Indra replied, relieved.

[Purchase confirmed.]

At the same time, a tent, a large hut and a very futuristic building appeared at the same time.

There were also a few fenders that fell to the ground north of the small territory.

"Really, I was wondering why it was free too..." sighed Indra in a low voice.

Indra entered the tent accompanied by Kira who was only a few dozen meters away on her left.

A small translucent page appeared before him:

[Refectory: Enough food and water are replenished each day to feed 10 soldiers].

There were only two simple round tables made of wood and tree trunks that served as benches in the tent.

At the back of the head was a simple dispenser, containing just 10 meals, or rather 10 small pouches of liquids to feed a soldier for a day.

"Even though I didn't expect anything, I'm still disappointed," said Indra sadly.

Indra entered the large hut, which was located next to the mess hall. There were 10 single beds inside with sheets and a blanket laid on each bed.

"The beds look much more comfortable than the ones my people used back then," Indra enthused, now in a better mood.

"You can start preparing your bed Kira."

"Aye commanders!"

Indra walked out and directed his gaze to the very futuristic looking building to the south.

A few seconds later, he found himself in front of this building that looked more like a steel cube than anything else.

As he moved forward slightly, some of the steel disappeared in front of him.

"I guess that's the front door."

Indra stepped slightly through the front door, only to be disappointed again.

There was only one thing standing in the middle of the room called a stationary computer according to his new memories, and on top of that this thing was several millennia old.

There was a screen, a central unit, a keyboard and a mouse.

Indra sat down on the cold floor since there was nothing else and looked at the screen.

On the screen there was a search bar with the words:

[Nothing is impossible, only concepts that have not yet been scientifically explained].

"Pretty arrogant..."

"Then I guess I need to write down the research I want to undertake."

Indra immediately thought of the keyword "Weapons."

After all, without weapons his soldiers were almost useless on a battlefield.

Immediately different results were displayed.

[Sword: 1 prestige point]

[Bow: 1 prestige point]

[Spear: 1 prestige point]

[Armor: 1 prestige point]

...

Indra scrolled with the wheel to finally get some interesting stuff more in line with his new life.

[Handguns: 5 prestige points]

[Flash grenade: 5 prestige points]

[Smoke grenade: 5 prestige points]

[Fragmentation grenade: 7 prestige points]

[Assault rifle: 10 prestige points]

[Sniper rifle: 14 prestige points]

...

...

Since everything was blocked, Indra typed "vehicles" into the search bar.

[Military jeep: 32 prestige points.]

[Military armored personnel carrier: 37 prestige points.]

[Military transport truck: 50 prestige points]

[Armored vehicles: 60 prestige points.]

"I imagine that after the research is done, the vehicle will be available for purchase in the military option on the stone."

Finally, Indra marked another word, but this one made him slightly stressed.

"Joanna's Syndrome."

It was the name of the disease that caused the paralysis of his legs.

Finally some results were displayed.

[Grade 1 Neural Potion (Permanent effect. Allows you to stand for 5 minutes each day.): 2 points of prestige].

"Yes!" Indra couldn't help but shout.

And what followed made him smile even more.

[Grade 2 Neural Potion (Permanent effect. Lasts 30 minutes a day on your feet.): 10 prestige points].

But suddenly he disappeared from the sacred world.

"I don't know what to think of this kid, for sleeping all the way through, either he's extremely brave or he's an irredeemable idiot," thought the master corporal who was sitting next to Indra in the car.

Especially since this was not the biggest surprise for the master corporal. Indeed, Indra's head was resting on the man who had accused him of murder and taken him away in an extremely humiliating way.

"Hey kid, we're here", said the master corporal thinking to wake Indra up, but seeing no reaction, he shoved him lightly with his shoulder.

Indra had to "wake up" as a result of this sudden movement.

Without caring about the soldier next to him, his eyes immediately focused on the outside environment.

In front of him was a steel beast armed to the teeth.

The walls of the prison were several dozen meters high while the prison door was wide open.

On top of the walls were anti-aircraft turrets, missile launchers, and soldiers wearing exoskeletons and carrying assault rifles.

The car slowly descended in front of the door and as the car passed through the door a voice from outside spoke.

"Identity confirmed. Prisoner Indra Invictus has arrived at destination."
