The following morning started bright and early with Charles and Gabe taking Renee, Lenore, and me into the city to do some shopping for the big day. I suppose that calling it a city is generous, given how small it is. It's more like a village. Although I will say that what it lacks in size it more than makes up for in poshness. Everything in the surrounding area just reeks of money. Aside from the handful of stores that seem to be local and niche, the remaining shops all appear to be designer names and have large price tags.
The first shop we hit this morning was the jewelry store. Lexington had made an appointment with them before the shop opened so that we could shop unhindered by other customers. The man knows how I feel about shopping, so it was much appreciated. Although most jewelry stores don't hold the same bustling vibe that clothing stores do, I still don't like the pretense.
