The previous plan of drinking until I could no longer stand, or at least until I got drunk enough not to think about the recent call with Seven, had been changed.
I lay outside in the garden and have the blanket of stars lull me, calming my nerves a little.
Jace lay beside me; a wide blanket protected us from the grass. He had one arm under his head and glanced at me for a second before smiling and looking back at the beautiful arrangement above.
I did the same, shaking my head in disbelief.
"I'm still in awe of how you convinced me this was better than fishing the entire bottle of that wine."
Jace snorted.
"I'm saving both of us from suffering a major hangover and also our liver."
It was my turn to snort.
