Those words left from the doctor's mouth vanished the happiness in a blink of an eye and they quickly pulled back staring ahead.
"What complications?" Noah asked, still holding into Alice's hands.
Watching the anxiousness returning on their faces, the doctor sighed. "As you both know the chances of Alice becoming a mother were minimal, yet a miracle happened, so now that she has finally conceived you have to be more careful"
"Careful" The doctor eyed Alice meaningfully communicating what she meant.
"Oh, okay I understood and what else should we take care of," Alice asked as the smile on her face returned once again, but the man sitting next to her couldn't comprehend.
He still couldn't understand the hidden meaning behind her words and why was Alice smiling.
After discussing a few things with the doctor Alice was then taken for an ultrasound.
