"Still I can't trust that man. Even if he is insecure, the man is quick-witted. What if he finds your actions suspicious" Karl pointed and watched his huff.
"You don't trust me?" she asked pushing herself a little up.
Karl felt like he was being forced to agree with her even though he knew things weren't as easy as she thought them to be.
"I trust you Gwen... but as I said I don't trust that man. Why don't you understand" Karl literally begged trying to convince her.
"Even, I don't trust Linda, yet I am letting her come closer to you because we both know if we have to gain her trust, we have to act the way she assumes us to act" Gwen spat.
She didn't want Karl to doubt her intention. She knew how to protect herself because now she knew people weren't as good as she thought them to be. And to make them realize their mistake, she had to find them eye to eye.
