"Gwen..." Karl slurred as he saw Gwen standing next to him, flashing him her gentle smile.
Reaching his hand out, he then grabbed her hand and kiss the back of her palm sweetly.
"I know you are upset with me, but I swear on you nothing is going on between me and Linda. That hug you saw was merely an accident. She tripped on her own" Karl tried to explain in his toxic state unaware of the fact that the hand he was holding and kissing didn't belong to Gwen.
Linda stood there and watch him pour his heart out like a drunken lover but she didn't speak. She knew Karl was totally wasted and was hallucinating her to be Gwen and that's when she decided to execute her plan.
Using her other hand, she pulled out her phone and made a call before she turned to him and said," Karl, I think we should go home" She tried to sound as Gwen sweet and gentle and watched him raise his head to look at her.
