Max stood still for a moment, trying to grasp his thoughts about what just happened when suddenly Tori pulled back.
"Ahh..." he groan out in frustration as he didn't expect her to retreat so quickly.
"I-I... I am sorry..." He heard her say as embarrassment was quite evident on her face.
Tori had no idea why she reacted this way, but when she saw him cry, her heart swelled with pain, and all before she could think her legs moved on their own and she kissed him without any restraint.
But when the moment of realization stuck her clouded thoughts she withdrew.
Max watched the girl avoid meeting his gaze as if she was regretting whatever she did just now. He wanted to yell at her for being this bold to initiate a kiss with him and to take it back without his consent but he couldn't.
Clenching his jaw firmly, he glance at her for the last time before he walked past her and headed into the base.
