Gwen was rendered speechless when she heard Karl read her mind. She had been fidgeting her brain, thinking about what must've happened between the couple that Tristan didn't bother to inform about his sudden departure.
"Hello! Gwen are you there?" Karl's voice snapped her out of her trance and she shook getting clear-headed.
"Ahem... ha Yes I am listening?" Gwen answered once she registered his tone.
"But how do you... know about it," she promptly asked.
Taking a deep breath, Karl told her everything that was happening at the head office branch and how her brother was giving tough times to all the employees.
"Things seem to be off between the two. No doubt Ashley was surprised when I told her that brother went on a business trip"
Karl just hummed recalling Tristan's gloomy face as he kept sulking on the plane as if he was cursing someone in his mind.
