"Okay... okay, I forgive you, please don't cry," he said quickly and found her turn silent the next instant.
Blowing a relieved sigh, Karl wiped his sweat and calmed his nervousness, brushing off the weird thoughts that scared him for a second.
He could listen to her talk the whole day, but he couldn't stand his boss's deadly glare. He thought and heard her say," Did you really... forgive me" her words reached like a mere whisper.
Karl's heart softened listening to her words, and a smile crept on his face.
"Yes, I forgave you... now please don't cry, Miss Gwen."
Gwen wiped the leftover tears from her face and smiled. She could feel her heart turn heavy with his silence, and she burst into tears embarrassing herself once again in front of him.
But now that he forgave her, she didn't want to commit the same mistake that would upset him. She considered him her friend and didn't want him to stop talking with her.
"Thanks," she muttered low.
