"I will want to be brief as possible so we all can return to whatever activity we had planned for the day" he said with this ungoverned smile over his face.
I just wish something could be said to scatter this meeting like someone should say an annoying speech that will pull the trigger to provoke everyone so this so-called meeting could be dissolved.
"Laura will accept that I explained everything to her that I don't have a relationship but a casual friendship with no strings attached to it. I will say she deliberately planned this pregnancy because how come she found out the condom had a factory error after it had been used? He asked, staring at us.
That question had also been on my mind. and Gabriella spoke about it also.
"Laura, that's a question which requires an answer," he said to her.
She was quiet for a while her head was bow low then raised it up slowly still speechless looking at our faces like there was a play being shown on them. Sure I will know Laura had been thinking on what to say, she suddenly smiled so boldly her cheekbone could be seen fatter than it size due to the smile on her face.
"I heard the question you asked and I got an answer for it. Thank goodness you brought the condom yourself. I only found out it had an opening when I was about to dispose of it. Do you think I will intentionally create an hole in it to what expectation? Being a mother during my first year in college or having a child for a cold hearted cruel and manipulative dude. You must really believe that the world revolves around you but it's doesn't actually" she said harshly to him with this rueful look all over her face which had changed from the happy look. I had never seen her in such a state angry and bittered.
The room was quiet, no one was ready to speak to another. I could feel the tension around,Noah was so quiet, also Laura even though she had this melancholy look on. I was no more interested in the meeting ending but to be resolved amicably among them. Noah was an arrogant dude I know that sure.
"I don't want you both blaming yourselfs which will only add more tension and bitterness to the issue on ground, we are all here to provide a lasting solution can we do that please" Gabriella said pleading.
"The truth is there can't be a lasting solution to these issues on the ground . We both should try avoiding each other's space that will work" Laura said. "I'm no longer a member of the troupe. That way no one will suspect there was an issue. We will just be colleagues and family friends" she said, stretching her hands for a shake.
Her hands was like that for a while Noah wasn't move by what she said he was just looking at her suddenly stood up then told us all that this issue had to stay in between us to avoid one of us being in danger as he spoke I remembered that dream I had, And he left immediately he was done talking, I saw what he said as threat but chosen not to speak while Laura was still at our place.
"Girls, thanks for allowing us to use your room. I have to leave now" she said, hugging us. She wasn't herself any longer, so Noah's last comment was what broke her.
"You are welcome" I replied then she left.
Noah is cruel. We all should be careful that the last comment was more like a threat to me than a mere talk"Gabriella said.
"I had said the same thing just wanted Laura to leave before I made mention of it" I said. "The dream flashed back as he made mention of it" I added.
"That guy seems evil," Gabriella said.
"Yes he does not. I'm happy we tried our best in reconciling them which is the end of it all" I said lying on my bed.
"You seem to be forgetting something," Gabriella said looking at me.
"What is that? I asked, dazed.
"The smoothie bribe" she said beaming.
"Ohhh but it happened at our place girl" I said.
"It doesn't matter, a promise has to be kept," she replied.
"Can we go get it now? I asked her.
"Yes sure we can" we replied cheerfully as we stepped out.
The college environment was calm but some cool music could be heard from around everyone seems inside their rooms, "THE DELIGHT" wasn't as crowded as it had always been just few college students were there also few worker we bought two cups of smoothie then decided to seat and enjoy the quiet and peaceful environment while seeing the documentation being shown on the television which captivated me I thought of seeing it for a while but ended seeing it still it ended.
"Thanks for getting me the bribe you promised, it's good to keep one's promise to the end." She said slurping the smoothie.
"Girl why the noise while sipping the smoothie? I asked.
"Just to make the place noisy for a while" she said, repeating it this period louder.
"You have overfed yourself, I know," I said to her when Sera walked to us.
"Hey girls" she greeted, giving us a group hug."You both seem relieved now" she said sitting next to us.
"You also look relieved," Gabriella said.
"That party was really wild," Sera said.
