The second, third, and fourth rounds went by with both Amelia and Isla winning every round without their opponents gaining a single point, while the majority of the ones who had lost scored at least one point before they inevitably lost.
It was now the semifinals of the tournament, and there were only four contestants left: Amelia and Yoritaka Tobei from Harbor View High, and Isla and Samejima Suki from Broad River High.
This match would determine who would be the ones to compete in the finals, or if one school won both matches, it would determine which school won the tournament, making many nervous, but others confident in their school's team members.
"The first match of the semifinals will be Harbor View High, Yoritaka Tobei, versus Broad River High, Isla."
Yoritaka Tobei and Isla entered the square, bowed and crouched at the starting line, holding their shinais towards each other, waiting for the referee to say begin.
"Begin."
They stood up simultaneously, holding their shinais toward each other, as they both circled around the ring.
None of them took the first strike, with Isla's fighting style needing her opponent to attack first, and Yoritaka Tobei not daring to attack first as he didn't want to end up like the ones who fought her before.
Two minutes passed, and they still hadn't taken a strike yet. Yoritaka Tobei had begun to become impatient since this match had 3 minutes left.
Once he lost his patience, he shouted, "Tsuki!" and thrust his shinai at Isla's neck.
*Clack! Isla parried, and shouted, "Hidari Kote!" She quickly slashed her shinai at his wrist.
Three referees raised their red flags, signaling that the point was valid.
Isla and Yoritaka Tobei once again crouched at the starting line.
Meanwhile, Amelia, who stood where the other kendo team students stood for Harbor View High, was blushing as she watched Isla.
'With my love for her now at a high level, when I look at her my heart begins to pound, and my face blushes, which is embarrassing.' Amelia said, making sure no one saw her flushed face.
There were three main causes of her feelings being this high: the first is her having sex every day after kendo class and during the whole day on weekends. The second is because of her succubus source, who is almost as strong as her beast source, who she got from Isla. The third was due to her giving her an unbreakable bond with Isla.
'I've got to stop blushing, otherwise others will notice.' Amelia went to the back of the room, where there was a bench, and sat on it, leaning back against the wall.
Sensing that someone who sat on the bench several feet away from her was looking at her but showed no ill intentions, Amelia decided to ignore it.
The woman, who was still looking at her, said, "Thank you… for what you said earlier."
Amelia faced Midari with a tinge of red still on her cheeks and nodded.
Inside Midari's mind, 'She looks so beautiful and cute, even though we're both girls, I can't stop myself from falling in love with her.' Midari's heartbeat quickened, followed by her cheeks gaining a tinge of red.
"D-do you think this tournament is weird this time?" Midari asked, her face reddening even further after stuttering.
"Yeah, it is." Aurora agreed, her face returning to normal, and thought, 'Isla must've changed the tournament to make sure that both of us match up against each other.'
After that quick exchange of sentences, Midari could no longer speak as she felt too embarrassed to do so, giving Amelia the impression that Midari must've fallen in love with her.
Within the square, Isla and Yoritaka Tobei stood facing their shinais at each other a few seconds after the referee said begin.
This time, Yoritaka Tobei was confident he was going to get a point, as he wouldn't fall for the same trick a second time.
He raised his shinai and slashed towards Isla's head, but before it hit her head, he shouted "Kote!" and changed the trajectory of his slash to hit her wrist.
"Hidari D!" Isla shouted, slashing her shinai at his left torso.
They both hit their targets simultaneously, which cancelled both points, but the match wasn't stopped as it could only be stopped if one got a point.
Midari muttered, "Isla knew she wasn't able to block it, so instead she chose to get a point, making them cancel each other out. Amelia, your sister is so amazing."
"I know she is." Amelia said, and thought, "She could've easily blocked it, but she chose to make her opponent believe he could score points on her and she wasn't unbeatable.'
Isla could see that Yoritaka Tobei was beginning to get overconfident, but he hid it well enough that others couldn't notice it, so Isla decided to end it quickly instead of playing with him.
He shouted, "Tsuki!" and thrust his shinai towards Isla's throat, as Isla shouted "Hidari..."—slashing her shinai as she leaned back to dodge his thrust—"Kote!"
Isla's attack hit his wrist, while his attack missed with her leaning back. Three referees raised their white flags, signaling it was a valid point.
After that, Isla and Yoritaka Tobei bowed to each other and left the square, returning to their teams.
Once both of them were back at their teams, the woman announced, "The last match of the semifinals will be Harbor View High, Amelia, versus Broad River High, Samejima Suki."
