Chapter 13 - Teasing my senses

And the winner of this game is the future Luna. Cheers erupt as a petite brunette climbs up the steps and waves.

I swirl my scotch and take a sip.

That was indeed an interesting race. Very illuminating.

When the men released their auras, only a 3 of them seemed unaffected. 2 are Alpha ranked wolves while the other one doesn't show an aura. I thought she must have found a way to  hide it so I followed her after the party. She took two hours to find her way back to the house and she could not detect my presence which was odd for a wolf that might be Alpha ranked. Either that or she is a very good actress. Now watching the game I am not so sure she is Alpha ranked.

Which of them?

The one who calls herself The Alpha's meal. That one over there. He points and I follow.

I start walking as they fall in behind me. I wave at my pack members in the spectator stand and they cheer at me. Doing this tournament has had an unexpected pleasant effect. My pack members love it and look forward to it. I make a mental note to incorporate more events like this in the future that will gather the pack in such a manner. maybe a baseball tournament.

I stop my musings as I stand at the tent of the eliminated contestants all of them spotting various degrees of injuries. I am about to say a few words when I hear him.

I feel his excitement bubble up in my belly, mine too. The pull comes from the other tent. Words are forgotten as I stride purposefully to the other tent.

I have to clench my fist to hold on to my excitement lest I transform. Pushing the flap aside I hear audible gasps as the contestants flurry about. I pay them no heed as the delicious smell gets stronger making my head spin and my wolf claws at the back of my mind trying to get out. I pant and feel weak with desire. Willing myself to be centred. I try to find the source of the delicious smell but it seemed everywhere and anywhere.

I sniff the girl next to me and she giggles with delight. This isn't working. Why can't I pinpoint which of them she is. I feel my wolf's sadness, impatience and desire. I need to leave here fast. Spinning on my heels, I make my way quickly to a shade of trees. Hidden there, I let him out and we go on a run. Arriving at the beautiful waterfall that gives this pack its name. I dunk into the water, staying under for a few minutes then emerging as a man.

She was there Jimmy I know it. Why, Just why can't I pinpoint her?

She wasn't disqualified.

My wolf is too impatient, even I am feeling impatient. I need to be with my mate and be with her fast.

I push a breath out of my mouth and step out.

He holds out fresh clothes to me and I take them. I give instructions as I Dress up. Co-ordinate with the matron. This week I want to go on a date with them individually.
