Chapter 14 - Putting shower gel to good use

Did you hear Chloe bragging, saying that the reason the Alpha wants a date with all of us is so he can spend time with her without the rest of us feeling bad.

But you know in a way she has a point though. He did sniff at her like a starving wolf.

I pass a few girls huddled around, discussing the latest development in the house. I ignore them as I proceed to kitchen. I am in charge of cooking for my room today. I shuffle about a bit stiffly, my back is not fully healed yet. Unfortunately one of us was eliminated in the game last Thursday, leaving June, Martha and I.

I reach up for the spice cabinet and I wince with pain, as my hand reaches the cayenne pepper, it is snatched out of my hand by Zee

Beat it slow poke.

I raise my head to look at her, slowly too.. In the past it was difficult to find a female who was taller than me but ever since I came here it's been a common occurrence. The females from the Southern Pack were at least 6 foot each, apparently it is normal for their women to be so so tall. I hate having to look at her smug face from my 5feet 8 inches but what can I do?

Trying to muster all the calm I am able of possessing, I say, give me back the pepper.

What if I refuse to hmm?

What is even your problem? You do not need to cook as you won a special room this week. So what are you even doing here?

She flicks my forehead. Because I can dum dumb.

That's it, I feel my temper rising.

I try, I try. Eventually I breathe out the pent up energy. 

You are not even worth it. I turn around and leave the kitchen.

Slamming my room door, I startle my roommates.

What's the issue? Martha asked

I narrate what happened and June goes back to reading her magazine without a comment.

Why did you let her get a way with it?

I know she is just looking to pick a fight and I am still recovering from my injury. Even if I wasn't, infighting is prohibited. Except on the tournament grounds. I lean back trying to find a seating position comfy enough without stressing my hurt back.

Later that night, I and my roommates went to the common bathroom to shower

Taking off my towel, I pick an empty shower head to start bathing. The water soothing my skin.

Hey, why haven't you fully healed yet? it's been a week. A random Girl calls out

I ignore her. As if I am going to tell my competition about my vulnerabilities.

I am talking to you.

I ignore her and converse with Martha.

I soap my body and hum "This is me"

Suddenly I am spun around only to see boobs  in my face, I turn left and right and it is the same. The southern females had cornered me.

I look up to see Zee sneering at me

what are you even doing... You know what I don't even need this. I turn around and keep showering.

Why you scared? Like weak puny wolf was scared to come out and run.

I look even my roommates were observing the going on with interest.
