It was a day of festival, everyone was enjoying the day. Music and dancing is everywhere the same as the palace guard that maintains the peace of the said festival in the Ace Kingdom.
The kingdom has a four mage group, the Clover, Diamond, Heart and the Spade group, they are the main responsible for peace in the Kingdom and the palace guard that is responsible for supporting the mage groups.
The mage group is also known as Royal mage or Royal guards.
Liam is an ordinary kid. He was from a village that was near to the border of Ace Kingdom and Queen kingdom. He was living with his adoptive father and selling a different kind of herbs, fruit and vegetables is their main source of income.
His father is really good to him and they just treat each other as brothers but in the eyes of the people who knew them, they are father and son.
"Peleus! Tell me, tell me.. what is our dinner later?"
Liam excitedly asked his father while Peleus was busy chopping the woods he was asked to chop in exchange for money.
"You've just eaten your snack an hour ago but you're still thinking about the food you will eat later?"
Liam smiled at Peleus and helped him to chop the woods that their neighbour asked them to do.
"Uhmm.. Peleus?"
"Oh?"
"Why do you think I didn't have any potential? You.. you're good at healing the people here and you helped them a lot but me.. I don't have any magic that I can share with other people that can help them."
Liam anxiously asked while doing his job.
His father stopped what he's doing and looked at Liam.
"You don't need magic, power or potential to help other people Liam. You only need a heart and strength to help them on what you can only do. No one is expecting you to do something that is out of your capability. Don't pressure yourself into that thing Liam. You have a magic Liam."
Liam unconvinced looked at his father because of the things that he said.
"Magic?"
"Yeah! You have the power to convince people because of your sweet tongue and persistence. That an invisible magic"
The unconvinced look of Liam becomes a smile and turns to their laughter.
"Like you did?"
"Like I did."
The bond that they were sharing is like a real father and son relationship. Liam can still remember the day Peleus chose him to be his adopted son. It was a heartwarming feeling that he can still feel until now.
After chopping the woods Peleus returned it to the owner while Liam is preparing to go to their plantation to pick some vegetables for their dinner.
"I'll get going, Peleus."
"Ok! Return before the sunset or else I'll cook a stray cat or dog for dinner!"
Liam pinched his nose as if he smelled the disgusting thing that his father said.
"That's disgusting!"
"HAHAHA... Be careful on your way!"
Liam just waved at him and ran away.
After he picks the necessary ingredients he stretches his body while looking at the sun that's already setting.
*DUG TUG!*
He suddenly felt something inside his chest that beat so loud. He holds his chest and as he feels the sting there.
"What's that?"
He asked himself because of the surprise. That is the first time he heard his chest beat that loud. It was a terrifying experience and all he can think right now is to check it for his father.
He shook his head to ease it to his mind. That is not the right time to think about that thing. He needs to go home because Peleus is expecting him to go back right away.
He took a deep breath and smiled. For him it was just a sudden unusual feeling that sometimes aroused.
The clouds darkened, a sign that the rain will drop soon.
He joyfully walked away from their plantation and welcomed the rain that soaked his whole body.
"Rain rain rain.. hmmm.."
He sang while walking.
At the distance of where he was standing he saw a figure of a girl leaning to the tree and he couldn't figure out if the woman was lifeless or just unconscious.
He suddenly stopped walking and held tight the basket he was holding to suppress fear.
"Pull yourself together Liam. Dead or alive, you need to help her."
He told himself.
He can tell by the woman's clothes that she was a Royal mage.
He was thinking why a Royal mage was laying in the Absum village while they all know that their village is known as a forgotten village of the Ace kingdom.
"Miss? Miss?"
He said when he reached the woman's body.
He immediately feels the pulse of the woman to know if she's still alive.
"Miss!"
He felt a pulse in the wrist of the lady but the lady was not responding to his call.
"Damn."
He lifts the woman and carries her in his back.
He's nervous because his father might blame him for the current situation of the woman.
He hurriedly took the woman home and when he safely put the woman down, he felt again a sudden thump in his heart. This time it's going to explode because of the continuous hard pumping.
He clenches his fist to suppress the pain but he can't take it longer.
"Liam?"
His father entered their house and he saw Liam about to fall because he had already lost his consciousness. Peleus immediately catched him with his nervous look.
Liam already has a pale color as if the blood escaped from his body.
"Liam!"
He tried to wake him up but Liam didn't breathe anymore.
"Liam, no no.. Liam!"
He made him lay in his room but he froze when he noticed a lady in Liam's room.
He was really confused about what was happening to him.
He used his power to heal both bodies but Liam's body refused to accept his power.
"Liam! What's happening to you?"
His tears fall while he desperately wants to save Liam's body.
"Liam please!"
He was thinking that a while ago he was asking why he doesn't have potential. They were laughing a while ago but now he's losing Liam in his arms.
The woman is accepting his healing but her body is not improving. He thinks that the soul of the woman is the one that has a defect and not the body itself.
Liam's body is already uncolored as if it was dead for a day already. It's impossible for him to give life to the dead person because it's a forbidden magic and he has no such power to apply that forbidden magic.
