After his unscheduled encounter with his wife, he knew he had to get some air. He was not expecting he would blurt his plan and dump it on her like that.
He thought he could talk to his wife civilly about their marriage, the kids, and the impending separation. But he forgot that nothing was easy when it came to her.
"Please, cancel all my remaining schedules for today." He never liked making people wait, most especially postponing them. If his time was valuable, so was theirs. But today was an exception.
He knew he could not handle the pressure of his job under his present circumstances. He needed time to clear his head and put things back into perspective.
Not because he had already declared his desire to divorce his wife, all his burdens suddenly disappeared. On the contrary, he believed his problems were only beginning.
