He believed they had to prepare for it by making her aware of her situation. He disagreed that they should keep the secret from her. It was her life. She had the right to know.
But he felt that was not his place to tell. Therefore, he guessed he should meet with the one who could. He knew it was late. But he could not wait for the next day.
