The man sitting not far from her denied stalking her. But, of course, her claim was ridiculous. Why would the King waste his time following her around? That did not make any sense.
"Are you crazy?" She silently shouted inside her brain, reprimanding herself for accusing the King of such nonsense.
She might have been significant in his life once upon a time, but not anymore. The King already had a family, children, and his Queen, which he devoted his life to serving and loving.
The only interest she could think of that the King might want from her was their daughter. But now that Lance knew about Luisa, he did not need her anymore.
"I just saw you hounded by the press, so I thought you might want some help." He explained why he stopped and picked her up.
"And if you must know, I visited my first wife, Camilla. Her grave is just on that other side." He pointed somewhere beyond those shady trees.
