"Well, I am all ears. What have you in mind?" It could be one or several things. He could not wait to hear what his friends had to say.
"You see." Alex looked at him but turned again to Evan. "He had a confession to make if you still have not heard." Alex elbowed his other friend, urging him to proceed.
Now, he was puzzled by their behavior, seeing the slight hesitation in his other friend. Was it about a business proposal? But that could not be it. They already had several business ventures together. They never had a problem with them.
"What confession?" He asked as his eyes fixed on Evan's face, who looked like he was guilty of something. "You look like you have just robbed me." He jested, slightly chuckling at his friend's face.
As he said, it was nice to see his friends again. He missed the way they just fooled around and had a good laugh. But it seemed he was the only one laughing as his friends exchanged weird looks again.
