Maybe she was still sleeping.
She tapped her cheeks, even pinching herself as she determined whether she was still in a state of unconsciousness. But she felt the pain, concluding that she was wide awake.
She stared again at the massive stone sitting at the center of the ring on her finger, still confused and overwhelmed by the fast turn of events. Her eyes focused on the evidence, yet she still could not believe it.
"He proposed." She mumbled as she sat at the edge of the bed, wearing one of her new fancy dresses. "Liam wants to marry me." She looked at the mirror facing her and saw a reflection of herself.
"Me?" She questioned, still unable to fathom why. "For real." It did not feel real because the woman staring back at her looked different.
